We toured The Grand Oaks Carriage Museum which is very extensive. Our docent, Loura (pronounced Lou Rea) was very nice & informative & gave us a real appreciation for the carriages and their history. We arrived at 2 PM & spent over an hour there. (It closes just before 4 PM). There were a lot of carriages & memorabilia &... More

Carriages Galore and more. The historical aspect is wonderful and exciting to see carriages you see in old movies right before your eyes.

I was so very disappointed. The Bistro ruined Mother's Day. Paid a lot of money up front for 5 people. There was confusion and lack of a real plan for how to feed over 200 people at once. None of that was mentioned up front when you had to purchase the tickets, nor did they mention that you had to... More

It is a self guided tour but all the carriages have clearly written descriptions. Special display of refurbished royal coach from Austria. Bistro on premise that is very good.

What a hidden little gem this attraction is right behind the hustle of the main road! We spent an entire day here walking through the carriage museum and the staff could not be more informational or eager to answer our many questions. After that, we walked the outside and visited the horses and walked the grounds which are truly amazing... More

Outstanding collection of carriages from all over the world beautifully displayed. Like an excellent classic car museum for conveyances of the pre-automotive era. Lovely grounds and setting. Definitely worth a detour from Orlando for anyone wishing to learn some history and to take a break from Mickey Mouse attractions!

This collection is wonderful, kids will love this. The life size horses hooked up to the numerous carriages are just incredible. The museum is much larger than I expected and houses a stunning collection of carriages. Everything from a Gypsy Wagon to the first Fire fighting Carriages. The opulence of some of the carriages give you a peek at a... More

Great carriage museum. Worth the time to visit. Off the beaten track but easy to find. A bonus to RV campers as they do have a nice camping area.

Our car club recently did a special monthly event at the Grand Oaks Carriage Museum. The resort served a buffet breakfast before we toured the museum. There are over 130 carriages that date back to the mid 19th century as well as an elegant carriage that once transported Franz Joseph of Austria. Additionally there are a few antique autos. This...
