Always a pleasure to walk the waterway. Great to start at Shamrock, walk to Circus Bridge then recover in the Old Salty Dog before walking back. The section from Circus to The Train Depot is not as picturesque, but still worth walking. Cyclists can do...More

It's a pretty place to go for a walk. I like the beaches and other parks better but if you want to have a nice place to walk, ride a bike, picnic, it is a nice area. It seemed very popular with local folks (I...More

Paved bike path, beautiful scenery with water views along the intercoastal! We started our bike ride at the south end, parking at Shamrock Park and rode all the way to the Train Depot in Venice, then pushed our bikes across the bridge, and rode back...More

Very pleasant spot to enjoy the outdoors. Some people put up a beach chair and watch the boats go by. Others picnic, jog, walk or cycle. We cycled it. A bobcat and an iguana ran across the trail in front of us. Good place for...More

This wonderful linear park provides bike and walking trail from one end of the island to the other. Part of what earned Venice the designation as a "Bicycle Friendly" city.

This trail along the inner coastal waterway was perfect for a bike-lunch-beach day. There is ample parking near Caspersen Beach. We rode a few miles north (on west trail) and locked bikes at historic Old Venice. Trail is nice and flat! Enjoyed SPECTACULAR lunch at...More

Along the Inter-coastal channel. I believe it is handicapped accessible. There are bicyclists however they are courteous. You can go for as short or as long a walk as you want to.

Nice, clean open area for families, recreation and nature. Nice for get-togethers, too. I enjoy watching the boats on the waterway a lot.

While I didn't recall seeing dogs, it does seem like a good park for walking a dog. It is really 2+ mile walking/biking trail that goes down both sides of the innercoastal waterway. I checked the city website and it does... More

There is a small parking lot between the airport and Tamiami Rd, another at the railroad park by the canal.
