The pier is a great place to watch the sunset, walk out and see down the coastline, and apparently a good fishing spot! (not a fisherman). We have walked down the pier many times at all hours of the day. Good place for star gazing.

Great pier! Took the kids here when it first opened and rented rods for I think 15.00 each. We didn't have much luck fishing but great experience.

This pier was really nice at night and is a fabulous place to watch a sunset. Watch out for the people fishing though.

Lots of people fishing off the pier. We arrived just in time to watch the sunset!! Took a nice walk on the beach and saw a couple of manatees swimming around. They have public restrooms too.

No, dogs are not allowed on the Pier, but there is a dog park just south of the Pier, also on the Gulf of Mexico.
