The robbers likely used dog distraction and grabbed my purse, lost about $700 in value. Called 911 and the Fort Desota parks. Took way too long for a response and there was nothing done but take down my information and basically that sucks it's happening...More

This was my favorite spot to go on this trip. It's certainly a one stop shop with Kayaking, piers for fishing, beaches for swimming and seeing cool things and even a departure for excursions. There is a small entry fee of $5.00 but also a...More

Truly, this review is based more on my experience as a whole than the actual destination. It's a $5 entry fee and then we headed towards the kayaks. We rented two double kayaks [one hour is $30 for one] and had a fun time navigating...More

Fort De Soto park is super clean and a great place to visit the beach. We were able to kayak both the bay and the Gulf from this area, and we enjoyed the beach as well.

This place is completely non commercial and offers a relaxing time by the beach. The waters are clean and there is facility to cleanup after a nice beach swim.

Camping 1st week in July... Is it humid at night, where the tent can get damp? Have not camped in 11 years :) Also, how much is the fire pit rental?
