Operating since 1978, CAPTAIN SLATE'S SCUBA ADVENTURES is the premier dive, snorkel, and glass bottom boat operator. Staff was friendly. Equipment could use some updating and/or repair. Had a regulator seal bust at 30ft and then my air/depth gauges weren't working. The rum punch at the end was great! All-in-all, a good excursion.

Great family dive shop. Would dive again with Captain Slate and his fantastic team. It was awesome to see the sharks and yes the eel. Will definitely be back again with our friends. Thanks again for an awesome adventure.

Amazing experience, stuff vary professional, highly recommend
We live in South Carolina, and many people recommend this adventure with scuba. Everything was clean , secure and we passed an excellent experience.
We will comeback with friends for take new experiences again.

Outstanding crew, outstanding service and outstanding dives!!! Definitely recommend Capt Dillon and divemaster Joshua made the trip all the worthwhile for myself and my students I brought!! Definitely earned the top dive charter for the keys 2023!!!

Great people, great dive! Had an amazing time here I would definitely come back. They took us out to some great reefs and I saw a lot of creatures I hadn't seen before.

Seriously the best dives I have had in ages!!! Dillion, Clay, and Sharkey are the absolute best and we loved every second! I cannot wait to come back and dive again with the crew! They are fantastic and don’t hesitate because they with find the best spots to dive. And see some amazing creatures and wrecks!

Awesome dive, tons of fish! Ocean could have been friendlier though, a little choppy. Sharky and Clay ran a good tight ship, even got to see Clay do a swan dive at the dock!

Thanks for making my return to diving after 19yrs a painless experience, Cpt Dylan was excellent along with Sharky and Vito. My daughter took to diving straight away so also very grateful for making that easy. Hope to see you guys again next year.

I was wondering what restrictions you have in place for COVID -19 and if on the snorkelling boats you guys take one boat per party to follow social distancing. Also, how long are your snorkel trips?

Hey there!
We are wearing masks on the boat (if you wish) and we're disinfecting all rental gear and STILL practicing good hygiene!
Our snorkeling trips are morning and afternoon, approx. 4 hours total with visiting two GREAT sites!

We went through Wild Lime Adventures. They picked us up, coordinated the outing with Captain Slate’s including lunch and delivered us back to near Hialeah, FL.

I also notice that many places want to see that you have done dived I the last two years, otherwise they want you to take a refresher course. I do not remember Captain Slate's policy. If is is a concern then contact the dive shop .

We have gone in the summer and fall and both times have been great for sea life. You see different critters at different times.
