The whole tour takes about 45 minute. You sail out into the river and a diver goes down and brings up a sponge. They use a old time diving suit which is explained while the diver dons his gear. Great photo ops with the diver...More

Nice short tour of about about 40 minutes with lots of information about the different types of sponges and the harvesting of them. We had a choice between this tour and one that went to an island also to collect shells. We thought that 50...More

I found a discount on my AARP site for the Sponge Diver adventure. The price is cheap even without a coupon. Boat ride was about 40 minutes long. Many inexpensive shops in the area. Easy & cheap parking nearby. The experience was very educational.

Came across this tour while visiting Tarpon Springs yesterday. George who sold the tour was super nice and informative. Not pushy. The whole crew was friendly, professional and took pride in their heritage. Great value!

Short but very informative history of sponge farming in area. Learned a lot about the different type of sponges and how they are harvested. Would definitely recommend the tour. They even provided lap blankets if the weather is a little cool.
