Very disappointing as no one explains that the Manatee leave the bay area at the end of March every year. So only go to this exhibit during the colder winter months.

Take the kids too as this is a great marine educational opportunity. Amazing up close views of Manatees in their natural environment. And it's FREE!!!

This is a hidden gem. The manatees as well as stingrays and a few others migrate to the warm water from the Power Plant. There is a long walkway surrounded by mangroves that goes well out into the water and also an observation center. It...More

If you go in cold weather it is packed with manatees, When they built the power station environmentalists worried about the warm water coming out of the power plant, but the manatees go there in the winter when the Gulf water gets cold. Retired employees...More

I love living right down the street from this FREE gem that's open to the public with clean restrooms and plenty of parking. The fish, birds, and of course, the manatees, are varied and fascinating. It can get crowded and the viewing areas are not...More

What a great place to view manatees. The water temperature needs to be cold for the manatees to come to the warm water coming from the power plant. The best time would be December through February. In addition to the manatees there is a sting...More

Admission is free so nothing to lose if you're in the area. Open Fall through April 15 (the Manatees like the warm water produced by the power plant during the winter). Suggest you visit earlier in the season when it's colder out. Manatees like water...More

They are typically there in the cooler weather trying to stay in the warmer water. I believe the sight is open all year.
