We drove around Florida and stopped at different places offering manatee viewing and didn't see any, then we came here! The biologist I talked to said current count was 104 and the 4 were babies😀. An outstanding place to visit! Not only did we see manatees but sharks and a reddish egret not on their list. I will definitely return... More

Went on March 25 and there were still a few dozen manatees there despite the end of the cold snap. Be sure to check all the walkways. Get there early as parking is a bit limited.

Such a lovely place- and all for free. We visited here as we moved from a condo to a hotel in tampa and had a few hours to kill. There were lots of manatees the day we went. We also saw huge colourful fish, sharks and many rays 'flying' out of the water. My daughter (three years old) loved the... More

This viewing area is well designed and there are LOTS of manatees in the bay near the power station. I also saw what I think were a couple of small sharks (about 12 to 20" long). These wild manatees don't do much (in human terms), but it was great to see them in a semi-natural environment. There's a stingray touch... More

So the Manatee exhibit at Sea World is awesome--this was about 10 Manatees so far away I needed to put change in the scope to see them. Furthermore, you could only see their backs as they were not above water and the water is not clear enough to allow you to see anything else. That said there had obviously been... More

This place has walkways out toward the water that my mobility chair can navigate. There are many manatees and some other things like sharks jumping occasionally and fish up close. There is a gift shop and a food stand with treats. The museum includes artifacts concerning the sea and education about manatees. It is run by mostly retired volunteers of... More

We enjoyed our time at the Manatee Viewing Center and walking around the park. It is a bit of a drive from Clearwater/Madeira Beach but we had never seen a manatee before so it was worth the drive.

We heard about this place and decided to visit. It was well worth the trip! Some of the comments we read spoke about not seeing any manatees, however, there were 50-100 the day we visited. The center has a nice viewing area where we could get quite close to many of the manatees. Our 9 year old and 5 year... More
