    Busch Gardens Was Worth it!
If you enjoy riding rides but don’t want the hassle of long line ups for rides (and food), Busch Gardens is your place to be. For our large family of 7, which included 3 adults, 16 year old, 13, 12 and 9, it cost us $1000 for the tickets and food tickets, but we got our money’s worth in fun and rides. We were at the park from 11am-6pm on a Wednesday and managed to ride 5-6 different rides 1-2 times each…we could have done more rides but we chose to eat and look at animals periodically. The longest line up was 10 minutes at most. The Cheetah rollercoaster ride reminded me of the Hulk ride at Universal….it is fast! The park was clean, bathrooms were clean and food was delicious. Staff were soooooo nice too. If you’re going with people who aren’t really into rides, they can still have a great time seeing the animals and riding the train. Elmo, Cookie Monster and the gang also put on a cute musical show for the little ones. I was a little hesitant to go to Busch gardens, since we have gone to Disney and universal in past years, but honestly I would go to Busch gardens again. If it’s your first time in Florida or if you have really young children, it is nice to have the Disney and universal experience if you have the money, but if you’re just looking to have a nice family vacay on a smaller budget, then this place is fun and for my teens/tweens, we had just as many laughs together here. Also, maybe this is because it wasn’t chaotic in there, but none of us had meltdowns, snapping fits or grumpy moments in there….so it was just as happy as the “happiest place on earth”!
Thank you for taking the time to reach out with this feedback! We are thrilled to read you were able to enjoy a little bit of everything our park has to offer. We strive to offer an enjoyable experience for all of our guests and are always elated to hear we have done just that. We hope to see you back soon! -CL

Great thrill rides, good selection of wild birds and animals, Serengeti area and in enclosures. Serengeti Overlook a great place to relax for an hour or so. Staff all very helpful. Maybe a quiet day as no big queues for rides.
Thank you for taking the time to reach out about this recent visit to our park! We are thrilled to read you enjoyed our wide selection of thrills. We are very pleased to read that you enjoyed your experience. We hope you come to visit us again soon! - KG

    Nice place!
We went to Busch Gardens for a day when it got a bit chilly for beach fun. It was Monday, December, 3rd, the last day of Christmas break and it wasn’t very crowded. Quick queue passes and all day dining made our day really easy and stress free. These triple the cost of your ticket but are well worth it, if don’t want to spend all the time in lines and have several teenagers in the family who eat a lot like we do. All day dining includes an entrée, a side or desert and a fountain drink in any of 5 main restaurants every hour. It doesn’t include any snacks or other food vendors. Mind: you still have to wait in lines to get food in restaurants, so we didn’t even go to a BBQ place that smelled so good, the line was probably more than an hour long there and we didn’t want to waste time. We also went on Serengeti safari tour and loved it: got to feed the giraffes and see all the animals up close. The rides are awesome, me and our youngest kid 9y.o. did some family friendly rides, which were too much for me anyways (I just can’t do any roller coasters). My husband with older kids had a blast on all the crazy rides. Everyone loved our day in Busch Gardens, we’ll definitely be back.
We are thrilled to read you had a wonderful experience at our park. Our Quick Queue is a great way to experience our park fully. We regret to read you were unable to experience our open pit barbecue options at Zambia Smokehouse but are happy to read you were able to utilize your All Day Dining at our other unique dining experiences. Our Serengeti Safari is a once-in-a-lifetime experience and is a fantastic behind-the-scenes look at some our exotic animals. We look forward to seeing you soon! -CE

Save Busch Gardens and bring your families!
I first went to Busch Gardens in 1975 as a 9 year old. Through the years I saw the dolphin shows, monorail and the once closed now Africa station. The colony house was always the restaurant we enjoyed. Now it's a money aspect with pass meal ticket. My visit I was stunned that the Clydesdales were gone, every square foot is roller coasters in places, the fish at the ponds at the hospitality house are gone. Poor fish and turtles. My son and I bought food for them and used the remote control boats. The Gorillas and chimpanzees were no where to be found. I noticed a timeshare hut as well as seen in photos. That's a whole other conversation. The restaurant at the scorpion used to be good. The lines for the barbeque restaurant were too long and park was barely filled. I do love the animals, a kangaroo had a baby in front of me. The live oak trees are beautiful and I found shade when needing it. I hate giving bad reviews. Busch Gardens is suffering from lost revenue as kids don't want to leave the house. That has changed the revenue immensely in my opinion. Enjoy Busch Gardens while we have it!
Thank you for providing feedback about your visit to Busch Gardens Tampa! Please be advised, our animals are able to leave and re-enter their habitats freely to eat, drink, or rest as they please. We assure you we have forwarded your comments to our park leadership about this visit for their further review and improvement. We hope you are able to visit again soon and see what our park has to offer! - MM

A nice surprise and don’t miss the giraffes!
Went into the experience with no expectations- we are not “Disney”/theme park people, but with a bunch of tweens on spring break in Tampa, we felt like we could take a chance and spend a day here. Arrived on a Tuesday right when the park opened and it was very clean and basically empty. We paid for advance Fast Pass jr. tix and did not need them (wonder if we could have gotten a refund??) the rides were all functional with the exception of the sky tram thing. It was pretty hot so a lot of animals were sleeping/hiding, however we did get some great interactions with the elephants, birds, and penguins (funny & cute!). We splurged in the Serengeti tour where we fed the giraffes. That truly was fabulous and sooooooo fun. Yes, the souvenirs and food was crazy expensive, but we only had lunch at the park and brought our water bottles. All in all a very nice visit and not as commercialized as I thought it would be. Visit with reasonable expectations and you might even have fun! :-)
We are thrilled to read you had a positive experience during your recent visit! We recommend reaching out to our Guest Correspondence team at BGA.GuestInformation@seaworld.com for further assistance with your Quick Queue Junior. We hope you come to visit us again soon! -MK

Always a great time and lots of green space to cool off
Always a great time and lots of green space to cool off on hot days. Take advantage of the all day dining if you plan to be there a while, it is worth it. Wish they would bring back the sky ride across the animals, it was great

    Nice zoo... with roller coasters
The park is nicely landscaped, with plenty of shaded areas to sit and people watch. We are NOT big Coaster riders, so the selection of non- coaster rides is quite small. The log flume closed down during our visit. The sky tram is no longer running. Aside from the train and bumper cars, we didn't ride anything else. Biggest thrill- seeing giraffe and zebras on the faux savannah from the train. Biggest disappointment- parking is 35 bucks.
Thank you for taking the time to reach out about this recent visit to our park. We are happy to offer a wide variety of attractions for all our guests, including options for our animal enthusiasts and non-thrill seekers. Our park beautification is a top priority and we are always thrilled to hear when these standards have been met. We certainly regret to read you did not find value in our parking and have forwarded your feedback on to our park leadership for their further review and improvement. Thank you again for providing this feedback and we hope to see you again soon! -CL

Food & Wine Festival and Air Supply Concert
The Food and Wine Festival was quite good. Many unique foods to try as well as wine and cocktails. The cost was a little high since we had to pay for admission to the park as well as a separate charge for the food and wine and concert. Service was spotty at times. Everyone was nice, but seemed to be under-staffed at times. Left a number of lines after waiting 10 to 20 minutes. Wine and cocktails were good, but rather small, The Air Supply concert was excellent. They played for more than 1 1/2 hours and all of their hit songs. The rides looked awesome, but we did mostly other things like the animal exhibits, train ride, etc.
Thank you for taking the time to reach out about this visit! We are happy to read you were able to experience all that our Food and Wine Festival has to offer including our out-of-this-world concert series. We always strive to create a unique experience for all our guests, thrills included or not, and we are thrilled to read when we have done just that. We hope to see you back soon for another unforgettable visit! -CL

I will not be renewing the passes
Every year I renew with Universal Orlando annual passes but this year I decided to get the Busch Gardens annual passes. The first visit was done in April and it was nice and not so packed. After that, whenever we go there is always a problem. The second time we went was extremely packed (but not as packed as Universal gets) and disorganized. This park is small and doesn’t have the capacity to have large amounts of crowds. The parking was so disorganized and there was no help at all. I would ask a park attendant (he was the only one attending the parking) and he didn’t know to answer the questions I was asking, which was where should I park (after 30 minutes going in circles because there was a two way road but everyone was driving as if it was a one way road. To find a parking you would have to circle around many times because no one is directing you to the parking. Anyway, after the parking we get in the trolly to go to the park and the signs inside the park tells you to go one way for a ride and when you get there there is no ride. You end up going in circles. (This park is like a maze.) We went again to Busch to have fun on our vacation again, and was very disappointed. The day was a rainy one and if it rains it isn’t like the Universal parks that have indoor rides or anything like that. Everything is outside and if it rains they shut down all the rides. So you are at the park just wasting time. Overall of the whole park, I will not be renewing these passes. If you wanna go for the animals and just walk around then this maybe your park but not for me.
Thank you for reaching out about this recent visit to our park. Our guests’ experience is one of our top priorities from first entry to the last exit, and we apologize our standards of guest service were not met on the date of your visit. Unfortunately, on days of higher attendance our park may experience a longer than normal wait for ride queues and culinary locations. Our operating procedures always remain in the interest of guest safety and satisfaction and we regret to read these process impacted your visit negatively. Additionally, we would like to apologize for any disappointment you experienced due to the extended ride closures during your visit. Whenever there is lightning within 8 miles of the park, all major attractions close for the safety of our guest and team members. If lightning is within 5 miles all outdoor attractions, including children’s rides and the tram, close for the safety of our guest and team members. In most cases, these weather closures do not last long, but they can have a major impact on our guests' experiences. We have forwarded your feedback on to our park leadership team for their further internal review and improvement. -IL

Need to do better Busch Gardens
Rather disappointed... normally the best park for rides for me but this time round 3 or 4 big rides closed with nothing on their app to advise this but what really got me was the price charged for food, we had 2 burgers and 1 chicken tender meals... they were all overcooked/dried out, 3 soft drinks a cup of grapes and a couple of cupcakes and were $104 !! REALLY???? We were cheaper the previous night for 3 fillet stakes for crying out loud! Time to put some fast food franchises in and up your game I think 🤔
We sincerely regret to read about this experience and thank you for taking the time to reach out. Feedback from guests like you is instrumental in helping us deliver a better experience for all our guests. We make every effort to provide notice to our guest when attractions are undergoing maintenance or extended closures. Our scheduled attraction closures are listed on our website here: https://buschgardens.com/tampa/park-info/ride-attraction-schedule/. We regret to read you were unable to obtain this information prior to your visit. Unfortunately, despite annual maintenance and daily operating inspections, our rides can experience technical difficulties, just as any other mechanical device. We employ our own onsite maintenance team, and in most cases are able to open the attraction again quickly. That was our hope on the date you visited; however, we were unable to take care of the problem as quickly as we had anticipated. We sincerely apologize for any disappointment you experienced because of the food you purchased. We would like to assure you that this was in no way representative of our park or the quality of food we offer. We have shared your comments with the culinary leadership team for their review and appropriate action. We certainly understand any frustration and have forwarded your experience on to our park leadership team for their further internal review and improvement. -IG

I was hesitant and discouraged after I bought my tickets and then saw all the terrible reviews on here, but let me tell you, we had the BEST day!! The park and restrooms were clean. The staff was kind and helpful. Our daughter loved the kids rides and the animals. I personally enjoyed the coasters. We went on a Wednesday - the weather was beautiful - and I could practically walk on any coaster with under ten minutes or no wait time at all. It was a great day! So much fun! Great time for families.

Excellent rides and park but big minus for the loooong queues. 9 hours in the park and we managed to get to 5 rides. 1h30-1h45 wait to each of them. Without a quick pass (costing $110 each) you just get annoyed and your kids lose their energy and smile while waiting. Come on a rainy day or be prepared pay $110/person extra… Many rides were also broken or faced technical difficulties, adding even more to the waiting time.

Busch Gardens Tampa has really gone down hill. Used to have many shows we loved. Now the ice Skating show is the only really great show left and it is wonderful. Music concerts in January and February are relatively good, but they are gone after February. Went to the park on 2/25/24. Management that day was pathetic! Arrived at 10:30am. It took 45 minutes once parked to get on a tram to the front gate. Apparently, they have cut the number of trams, so waits are always longer, but today was ridiculous! That was bad enough, but the fun wasn't over yet. When the tram arrived at the park entrance there was there was another 45 minute wait to get through security. Apparently, the park could only afford two (2) metal detectors so hundreds of people were bunched up in 8 or 9 lines to waiting to get through security. After finally getting through security, you ran into another jam up of people waiting to get their ticket scanned. Why they hold up whole lines of people who have passes or valid tickets while they argue with guests with ticket problems is ridiculous. So after another 20 minutes your finally in the park. Therefore, if you're going to BG Tampa, you should plan on an extra 1 hour and 30 minutes to get in the park after you park and that's if you don't need to buy tickets. Buying tickets at the park is another nightmare and delay. Many of these Management problems could be solved rather easily if they care about their guests. Here's a suggestion: 1. run more trams during peak times identified by those giving out parking permits. 2 buy a few more metal detectors to move people through security faster. They can't be that expensive
3 provide escape lines to move people out who have security or ticket problems. 4. Allow people to buy tickets and free guest passes on line, so they don't have to use their park day waiting in line!

Don’t go , under planned , short of staff . Only for entrance and food , you will end up your day .. overcrowded and mismanaged .. somehow for all the food places the lines are out on the walkway .. zero value for money .

Disappointing lack of accommodations for people with disabilities. Showed up with pre purchased single day tickets to an hour+ entry line with a child with autism incapable of waiting in a line for that period of time. I went up to an employee and asked if there was designated entry lines for those with disabilities and was told no. A few other people in wheelchairs asked the same question and were also told no. When I tried to get more information I was told I had to talk to guest relations…inside the park. We ultimately left as we could not subject our son to that wait in the heat, losing out on quite a lot of money considering we are from out of state and will likely be unable to use the tickets at a later date. Very disappointing that in this day and age Busch Gardens does not do more to accommodate those with disabilities.

Busch Gardens Tampa Bay was an incredible experience! Iron Gwazi is one of the best coasters we have ever ridden! The park is full of world class roller coasters. They left us wow’d afterwards. Zambia’s smokehouse was very good for lunch! The park was very clean, and the staff were mostly friendly. The two negatives were the sky ride was down, and we waited over 1 hour for Cheetah Hunt even with having Quick Queue! Besides the Cheetah Hunt being a long wait, the Quick Queue is worth the investment. We will be back!

The last time we went to this theme park was in 2011, how things have changed!
I could write an essay but will keep it short. It took 45 mins to get into the car park, once in the car park I was greeted by 2 car park attendants who told me to just find a space in the “Duck” car park. Absolute chaos, cars driving round and round looking for a space, not a car parking attendant to be seen.
We had the tickets on the app and got into the queue for admission, short staffed, disorganised, shambles and people pushing in. After 30 minutes in this queue we finally got in. With all of this being stressful it sucked the fun out of the day.
I spoke to someone advising I wasn’t too impressed and got the response “sorry Sir there’s nothing I can do”.
Ran down and needs money spending on the place.

I'll be as brief as I can, although I could write pages. Took visiting family there this week. Got there just after opening. Entering was totally disorganized: loads of people permitted to cut in line, entry lines being held up while they dealt with individual issues, no park maps provided, no advance notice of rides being closed (of which there were many), etc. Paid for fast passes and found the waits just as long as standard. Line for lunch was 45 minutes and food was awful. Having more family visiting shortly, but will look for someplace else. Only good thing was that park personell were friendly and apologetic, but could do nothing.

Total ripoff. $139 admission/person. $45 parking. $45 two chx sandwich with two cokes and one fry. $5 dollars for the privilege to get on sky ride. Do yourself a favor and go to Universal or WDW, both are much better values.
