The grounds and the home is beautiful! Fully furnished with original furniture and personal items of the 5 different families that had lived there from the 1800's to the 1900's. Wonderful staff that is very knowable of the home and grounds. Please take time to go back in the past. You will not be disappointed!!!!

We go to special events at Goodwood, and occasionally have enjoyed lunch at its cafe on the grounds. Visitors may feel like they have stepped into a time machine because while it has a fascinating history and is a beautiful place, it's still in much of its authentic, lived-in condition, not too gussied up. Quite delightful and relaxing

This property is truly amazing. The buildings are stunning, so much history from the time of huge plantations in the late 1800's. Beautiful grounds, enormous Live Oak trees everywhere, cypress moss, gardens, and more. I highly recommend to take a guided tour. Many of the previous owners of the property left personal items that make the mansion seem like the... More

This place is such an ideal location and service to anyone having a wedding and reception. The ground are perfect for the photographer in me who wanted to continue shooting almost all day. The old homes and the out lying buildings are in good shape and the reception area was just lovely. I wanted to come back and do the... More

We were so impressed with the docents who looked after us on our tour of the historic House. The House and contents were a delight and one of the best intact Houses we have visited. A great pity that all of the objects and possessions cannot be displayed as I am sure there will be more fascinating insights t the... More

My wife and I stopped and walked around the grounds at the Goodwood Museum and Gardens last week. It's a great place for doing some photography. The grounds are extensive but grounds maintenance is rudimentary by design. The effort is to represent the style of the times some 100 years or so ago. There are many great settings to make... More

House and furnishings are the original; great discipline in keeping it authentic. A slice of time and culture. Quite an amazing estate. Grounds need some work. New restroom facility.

THE place to visit while in Tallahassee. This Georgian style house was made to look like the plantation people envision. It was remodeled in the early 1900s when electricity and additional plumbing was added to make it a southern retreat for rich northerners - and made to resemble a thriving plantation with many structures on site. What makes it unique... More
