shady, well marked and wide paths! This is my new favorite place to exercise! Parking at Forrest Meadow park is convenient and there is a crosswalk to get to the trailhead across Meridian Rd. Don't forget the $2 entrance fee.

Plenty of miles of trail riding here. The singletrack is challenging but not too technical with plenty of root features to ride over. The northern connector trail provides the biggest challenge in the first mile or so, in my opinion. Take to the wider multi-use trails/roads for some fun descents and uphill sprints. Always be alert for hikers and walkers... More

I think it is very convenient. You can access from Meridian Rd by parking at Forrest Meadows, or from the state park. If you are on bike or foot you can enter from Maclay rd. Forrest Meadows and Maclay Rd entrance fee is $2. If you drive into Maclay Gardens it is $6 per vehicle but that gives you access... More

This is a really nice trail system with two loops and a connector. The "upper loop" is where the trail entrance on Meridian Road is (park at Forest Meadows city park across the street) and the lower loop in the woods going around Lake Overstreet. Be sure you watch out for roots/tripping hazards! I know more runners than I can... More

I gets hot here and it's nice to walk or run in the shade on well-marked, wide paths. You can take the 5 mile walk where you'll see the occasional biker and horse. The lake is in the middle and is quite peaceful. Just drive North on Meridian and park at Forest meadows Tennis Club.

Excellent trail in a wooded area (shade!) that leads to Lake Overstreet. Ample parking. Lots of nature to observe -- birds, insects, trees, flowers. Wonderful hike in a lovely park. Unfortunately, our trip was cut short due to inclement weather. We will return! Entry fee to get to trailhead in State Park.

We did the long trail (5 miles) on a very hot day. The shade made the walk very tolerable. The trail was in good condition and provided some challenges with hills. There are a couple of beautiful lookout spots to observe the lake.

I went on this trail one weekend before summer with my brother and dog. I am not a hiker yet this trail was doable and beautiful. I had a great time. I would not recommend doing this trail during the summer month but in late May there was enough shade to help keep me from dying of heat.

I have been running and cycling this trail for around 2 years now and in all.seasons. The trail is challenging in some places for me but overall it's a great trail. Make sure that you are either a member of Maclay Gardens state park or have paid to use the trial. At times there is a guy from a security... More
