We wandered into this beer & wine bar on a Saturday afternoon and glad we did. They had opened Monday. We talked with the owner, Mark. They are located at the end of Oceola Street in old downtown Stuart. Many years ago this building had been a bank. The room is very welcoming with the original old brick wall on the Oceola side. 24 interesting beers were available on tap. The opposite wall held many wines. One gets a card on which you deposit any amount of money you decide. The card is inserted by the wine of your choice and you push one of three buttons -- a taste, a half glass or a full glass. If you don't use all the money on your card you take it with you for the next visit. If you do use all the money you put on the card, you just add more funds to the card. Prices were reasonable. There is a food menu of several items.
This business moved from Palm City to the center of downtown Stuart.....a welcome addition!

In on Monday January 8th 2018 just after opening at 2:00. Great conversation about beer styles, especially New England Style IPA. Eric knows his offerings and his customers. A great place to try draft beer and wine. Great ambience. Fantastic location. Worth a visit...i guarantee that you will be back!🍷🍻. BEST place for beer or wine anywhere around Stuart. Did I mention the great location!?!

The offer a nice selection of craft beer and highlight Florida beers. They also have wine, which you can buy sell-serve by the glass or by the bottle to take out. We ate appetizers which were delicious. Enjoyed a few rounds in nice atmosphere while local musician played. Mostly middle-aged crowd, but suspect it gets younger as the night progresses.

Happy to hear you noticed we specialize in 'Local Florida' craft beers. Also happy to hear you enjoyed one of our 'local' musicians. We usually have music on Saturday night, Sundays, and Open Mic night on Mondays. C'mon back when you can. Thanks!

Kind of pricey and food is very limited. I think adding more IPAs on draft would serve them well. New location is nice.

Hey Tim, Thanks for visiting. Not sure when you visited, but I can assure you we usually have 'at least' 3 IPA's on tap. Please keep in mind, we do rotate our beer selection daily.
Also, our beers start at 3.95, and craft beers start at 4.95. I do not think you are going to find craft beer too much cheaper than that.
As far as food, please know we are not a restaurant. However we do have over a dozen items on our menu from cheese & meat plates, to sliders, to amazing chocolate desserts. So please stop in again. And thanks again for visiting.

We stopped here for a quick beer while strolling through Stuart one Sunday afternoon. What a great place. I used to be a bank way back in the day. Over 2 dozen beers on draft plus another couple dozen wines to choose from their unique wine distribution system. The atmosphere was very relaxing and the staff was very friendly. They have food, but we just got beer and wine. Highly recommended!!

Hey Biffmeister23 (love the handle), Thanks for stopping in. Yes, our location was the site for the 'First Bank Of Stuart' in 1912! It is also know to be the bank that 'The Ashley Gang' robber TWO times! Some cool history here, as well as a cool place to spend an hour or so relaxing. Thanks again for visiting!

Easy to find place located right in the town center at the end of the main street. We found the place to be friendly, if a tad cozy, It’s quite a small bar. Part of the decor has a few great pictures of old time Stuart adorning the walls (30’s-50’s?) . The bar might be small but the craft beer selection is huge. A must visit for the craft beer fan. I had the excellent Founders Porter (from Grand Rapids, Michigan) and the more local IPA1A a hoppy American Pale Ale by 26 Degree Brewing of Pompano Beach FL.
Give The Vine & Barley a try if you’re in the area. Stuart is a lucky town to have V&B and The Crafted Keg, another excellent craft beer place in town.

I had walked by this place a few times, and now that I have finally been, I can tell you, I wont pass by without going in! Such a nice cozy vibe. We sat on the couch and shared and app, I had a great glass of rose (would like to have a few to pick from) and my boyfriend had two glasses of beer. Staff was helpful in picking out the beer from the large selection. Ill definitely be back!!

We came in as a private event was ending one afternoon. It appeared the staff was having a good time because they basically ignored us. They have a large selection of beer, we don't drink beer. The wine selection was weak, minimal Pinot Noir choice. Seating at the bar was not good on my back nor were the chairs at the few tables.
Overall not impressed, not coming back.

Sorry to hear you did not enjoy your visit. As for the wine selection, we are continually rotating our selection. We typically have at least three samples of each style of wine. Sometimes we might have more, sometimes less, as you saw. Please try us again sometime.

Weekday evening we stopped to explore. I enjoyed getting to try many 4 ounce beers and my wife liked trying a lot of the wines. It is pricey, but it adds a little adventure. The handful of folks hanging that afternoon were talkative and quite social to the Iowa strangers who stopped in. The bartender knew his wines and his beers very well, and was quite personable. He was not a party animal, but that was not his role. My wife will uses her $2.50 investment in the wine card as a reason to return (but it's a long trip from Iowa)

Thanks for making Vine & Barley Stuart one of your stops while visiting Stuart. We hope you do come back to Florida. I hear it gets cold in Iowa...lol.
