Stayed on Siesta Key Beach for 8 years now. Snorkelling at Point of Rocks involves good timing, can be rough and murky. Need to go early am or a very calm day. Wear water shoes and climb around the wall, prepare to get wet waist high going around rocks at end of wall. Take a bag at LOW TIDE. Lots... More

The scenery is nice and the weather great, but there is not really that much here on this portion of the key. No matter when you go, however, it is better than the weather back home.

Went here to check it out and we did not have too much trouble finding it or finding parking. We did have to walk a bit down the beach. We made our way across the wall but it was not low tide, so we got wet. There were still people snorkeling there. You could see all the big flat rocks... More

It really was neat to see this setting sandwiched between two sandy beaches both to the north and south of it. However, if you want to get in the water in the morning during low tide. Otherwise the rocks would be under water and dangerous. Parking is IMPOSSIBLE. We had one person in our party drop us off and drive... More

Point of Rocks is a great place for snorkeling on Siesta Key! It located on the far South end of Crescent Beach. Setting up a beach chair and umbrella and wading in from Crescent Beach is the way to go. The number of fish you can see is fantastic. I was able to see and film stingray, puffer fish, cowfish,... This was a nice place to explore small fish and gather shells. Just be careful because the rocks can have rough edges

The beauty of Siesta Key is the incredible stretch of white sand that is a walkers paradise! Siesta Key, to Crescent Beach to the "Wall" marks the spot of the Point of Rocks! Water shoes help the feet as snorkeling and shelling here you are bound to find a treasure!

Rode our bikes to Point of Rocks, and a worker told us the beach was pretty washed out, but we followed the trail & saw there wasn't much of a beach, and we couldn't walk around on the rocks. There were several turtle nests around - a couple had already been washed out by the waves, and as we were... More

You must be careful going to the point, because of the rocks and the waves. but kids loved going there for fishing or only to explore around. Bring you water shoes and it will be better.
