Located at the tip of Lido Key, you'll find this free park that wraps around the point. Sarasota bay on one side and Gulf on the other. There's plenty of beach plus a shaded playground, picnic tables and volley ball court. Lots of parking and...More

For an unparalled experience, get on your bike and get out here to Ted Sperling Park. This place is magical and if you go early enough, there are few people around and it will feel like you are the only one(s) besides the birds that...More

An escape from the crowds and hustle in the area, a lovely park to take a nature walk, dip your toes in the water, sit on a bench, breath. There are 2 lots, the northern lots has a place to rent kayaks to explore the...More

This is approachable, uncrowded and has good sand beaches great for walks and shell searches. And free parking. Just way more relaxing than anything on Sanibel. Highly recommended.

The mangrove tunnels are very different and fun to navigate. Took a 2 person kayak through without difficulty. Two comments: very crowded on a Saturday morning. If I go back it will definitely be on a non-weekend day. The tunnels are not well marked. We...More

Very easy to find and get to. Kayak launch was easy. We spent 4 1/2 hours exploring the mangrove tunnels and Sarasota bay.

Going to answer my own question: Yes. Went there this weekend and had no trouble navigating the tunnels in a 2 person kayak. There are narrow spots but nothing that can't be easily handled.
