Visiting Sarasota, and came upon the Farmer’s Market. Very large with great diversity of produce. There were several organic booths with superb vegetables, very reasonably priced. Merchants were very friendly. Simply a great experience. Worth going if one is in Sarasota on a Saturday morning.

This is my favorite farmer's market, and we make sure to come each time we visit Sarasota. TIP: I bring a suitcase on wheels with an ice pack, so I can shop hands-free and keep the food fresh. I always get the fresh-made guacamole, the...More

We go weekly to stock up on fresh produce and plants/fliers from local farmers. You can get most of what Whole Foods and Sprouts sell fresh directly from the grower! Parking is always a challenge. Wednesday we go to one off 41 and there’s plenty...More

Go if you like organic and fresh veggies. Early is best for the largest assortment; later is better if you don't care what's left. There's also crafts and food to purchase. It's crowded during high season, but you're sure to see at least one person...More

Not so big but lots of good stuff to see and buy. Located at the downtown area. Friendly vendors and lots of organic merchandise and locally grown food. Nice way to spend your saturday mornings in the city.

Fun place to stroll, shop, and get lunch and the freshest produce. It’s crowded and alive with people and vendors. Seems like most of Sarasota is here, come early, it runs until about 1:00 pm.

Limited seating is available. And I found that people are most gracious about sharing open seats at their table. (Most welcome to a New Yorker who is not used to such friendliness.)
