Twenty years ago I first visited Burns Court Cinema to see the Blair Witch Project. It was a special viewing with decorative sticks hanging from the ceiling and a particularly dark theatre. As you can imagine the movie scared the crap out of me. I...More

Great time with my kids in this small theatre that has 2 or 3 sections. Comfortable chairs and in a cute area of restaurants and shops. No lines, no wait.

Small theatre showing independent films. All of the films begin at the same time so once they are running, the lobby seems deserted. Nice night out!

Quaintest (is that a word?) little movie theatre shows some of the most powerful films around. Three small intimate screens where you feel safe, comfortable and among adults frankly. Join the membership to save on films, popcorn and wine if you plan to frequent the...More

Clean, comfortable and artsy. Great selection of unique movies. Small theaters make viewing very intimate. Great downtown location for drinks and dinner before or after your Indie film. Worth looking at the schedule to try something a bit different from mainstream theaters.

I love Burns Court because of the well-chosen films. This is not the place to see 3D block buster movies. Also there are no annoying teenagers running up and down the aisles! The concession stand has great ice cream and good snacks. Great place.

Recommend this theater for special films not available at the chain theaters. The screens are small, so sitting in the first or second row affords a good view (with no neck strain). Arrive early enough to find a street parking space nearby.

Older theatre, friendly staff, adult beverages and popcorn. Good popcorn. The releases here are the ones you will not see in mainstream theatres. Go a little early because of parking. On street parking. We went on a Friday night, and had to park about two...More

There is no parking for the theatre. Be prepared for a long walk unless you get lucky.
