I live on Venice island and use the trail often. Easy ride, fun, good seanery. Well maintained surface and wide enough for easy passing on bike and safe for foot travel.

The Trail is fairly new, therefore the surface is nice and smooth, and very level. Many locals use the Trail for fitness activities on bikes and roller blades, and generally follow a decent etiquette. There are very few runners on this trail, so if you...More

I ride this trail while visiting relatives in the area. There's not a lot of interesting views, but it's a fast ride early or late, and a pleasant amble during busier times. Does cross quite a few busy streets, so won't get a continuous workout.

Flat terrain that might be a bit boring for some but what do you expect in Southern Florida? There is one "hill" on an overpass just north of the southern end. We find this more relaxing and safer than bike lanes or sidewalks along streets...More

We rode bikes on the Legacy Trail and the Venetian Waterway Park Trail that connects with it. The trail is very well maintained. Road crossings are well-marked and signaled for added safety. It wasn't too crowded when we rode (weekend in December). We did a...More

I think the trail is boring, they could have put something interesting to look at, train engines, cars, rails to balance on, rails made into exercise stations anything. I'm not a big fan of the rails to trails effort usually, so maybe I'm not the...More

for bikers, roller blades, runners and walkers. A long mostly flat trail, unless you're going into Venice, in which case you have to ride over a very steep over pass.

The depot is a good spot to rest while biking the trail. It is shaded with a nice view of the waterway.

Don't need to be a pro to love this trail. Bike for fun or as a trail into downtown Venice. Loops and access points for the more serious biker. We often bike downtown for lunch or a cold beer, then return home.

Hi, the entire trail is 10.6 miles, so I am assuming you are looking to do about 10 miles round trip. The trip from Laurel Park to Venice Train Depot is the nicest section because it goes over water at Dona and Roberts... More
