Big Cat Habitat and Gulf Coast Sanctuary provides a sanctuary "for life" for the exotic animals currently calling the sanctuary home. Our goal is to create habitats that mimic native environments and are complete with a staff that can provide daily behavioral, sensory, and manipulative enrichment which is the basis for a happy healthy animal in captivity. As we grow and open our habitat to more rescues we will provide the same excellent care while educating the public.

Very well maintained sanctuary for a variety of animals - with a focus on big cats. Petting zoo / feeding area with baby goats, emu's and llamas. (Risking nature-lovers' disdain here...) Animal shows aside, you can take in pretty much everything in an hour, which is great if you have small kids, though it may make the price tag seem... More

I live by a nationally recognized zoo, and yet the opportunities to see these big cats are nothing like they are at the Big Cat Habitat. The animals appear to be very well taken care of, and their spaces are nicely done. While some may not approve of the show that is done with the cats, it is truly an... More

I have been twice once last year once a year later. They are always building new and better stuff for the animals. They had at least 8 new habits for the animals . a brand new bathroom with ac and very clean and running water no portable potty any more. The family loves what they do and you can tell... More

Amazing place to visit and support with your donations to preserve this wild life sanctuary. Well cared for, clean and well loved animals. Left with a good feeling that this 9 generation family will continue to do good work on behalf of these fabulous animals.

Took 5 kids ages 1,8,11,12,16 they all had fun. The show was good but a little crowded. Lot of animals to see.

It's not really a zoo - all the animals are donated, but there are plenty to see. Some are exotic like ligers (lion + tiger), some are petting zoo types like goats and chickens but kids like seeing them all. Kids can feed certain animals for a fee (we fed a liger - saw others feeding a bear) which is... More

I was not that excited to go here, but was glad I went. There is a wide variety of animals and you get to see them up close. There was a show that I really didn't want to see, but again, I'm glad I did. It was very educational and entertaining. The family has really invested in this attraction.

It's obvious that this family-owned non-profit organization works with their hearts. They would continue their mission no matter what. They promote animal welfare by providing a home for big cats that have been given up or turned in to the authorities. Don't miss the educational and funny 2 p.m. show where Clayton Rosaire shows off several big cats, including a... More
