A great venue for summer theatre! We've subscribed to Dog Days summer theatre - shows put on in the slower off-season months by USF theatre students. Very inexpensive, great shows - worth the visit!

We saw Turn of the Screw. A short intense, two actor play. The acting was superb. A very nice venue with bar and snacks. Plenty of parking. At least two stages. Located near the airport.

Visited the Asolo in July to see "What the Butler Saw". Very nice venue for a play; good seating and sight lines. Play was just okay, but we will back to see other performances in the future.

We watched the Jungle Book play at the Mertz theater inside the Asolo. It is a beautiful little theater with comfortable seats, wide aisles, and great sound quality. We were very impressed and will look to come to more performances here.

We have been twice and both productions were very professionally done with professional actors. It is close to the art museum and the Winter Home of John and Mabel Ringling.

Saw Shakespeare in Love. First time at the Asolo. It is a beautiful theater. The show was delightful. All in all, it was a terrific day.

We enjoyed a production of Rhinoceros, a theatre-of-the-absurd play by Ionesco. Both Acts opened with Edith Piaf classics sung by a local drag performer. It got things off to a roaring start as the story wind though the theme of social conformity. It was ably...More
