Cool place, lots to see

Give yourself quite a few hours to take everything in. To me the best part was the tour of the mansion. The art museums are a lot to see.

We only had time to visit the miniature circus- that took an hour and we could have spent more time. Absolutely fascinating with miniatures of every building-tent-ring-attraction etc. Beautifully done. We had gone to the grounds previously for what we thought was to be a jazz concert but left early. Big suggestion: if you are a member of your home... More

We visited the Ringling Art Museum and it was wonderful. Go on Monday's because the $25 per person is waved. It opens at 10 and it's a good idea to get there early because the crowd picks up as the day goes on. Plan to spend at least 4 hours to enjoy the art and displays much more time if... More

We visited the Ringling attraction a couple winter's ago with our developmentally disabled daughter, and All 3 of us enjoyed it immensely. We'd recommend it for all families.

A very good but not great museum. Extensive and provides a lot of information. Don't miss the "miniature" circus which is amazing. But overall the picture presented is superficial and lacks both depth and nuance

In town for my son's school event and decided to make the most of our visit. TripAdvisor reviews were helpful as usual to make the most of our limited time. Be prepared to walk a lot. They provide complimentary golf cart shuttles between the museum buildings. I would allow atleast 4 hours to see everything or 5 hours to leisurely... More

Four of us went to this attraction. We realize now that we got there too late. As we did not have enough time to see all the fantastic art that John Ringling donated to Sarasota. This is the place you should arrive when it opens then do what ever after, we went to lunch first. The whole place was so... More

This is a huge campus with many things to see. We visited both Ringling Circus buildings and learned much about the circus. The miniature circus that is in one of the buildings is awesome and would be of interest to all ages! There is so much to look at! We also took a docent tour of the mansion named Ca... More

Three of us traveled in February and loved the circus museum and the location and external views of the house. Also the garden walk is lovely. We skipped the house tour this time but we had enjoyed it last time. Each of the art rooms has something to recommend (and a lot to ignore). The main restaurant is quite good... More

A lot has changed for the better as it had been years since our last visit. A bit crowded on the day of our visit but everything went well. There is quite a flow of people thru the building to see the displays. We later toured the grounds which was great exercise and quite scenic. Great rose garden, too. Free... More
