Visited with friends and took a walk on Lido Beach. It is a rather large beach...much distance between the road and ocean. Beach sand is very white. The beach is very clean.. Beautiful view. Will go again! (No red tide at end of January 2019)

Sadly, the red tide is back along Sarasota & Manatee beaches. The water looks like crap and if the wind blows from the west with any surf you will have trouble breathing. Sarasota just had a big sewage spill adding to this problem. When will...More

As far as I know, yes ma’am?? But if I remember right, they fill up pretty fast so I would suggest bringing your own chairs or blanket just in case?!! You can never be too careful?

As of now red tide is no more. City have done a fantastic job in clearing up the dead fish. Such a shame for the wildlife, but birds are returning which is a great sign.
