Nice beach, lots of little shells to collect, sand bar offers a shallow place for little kids to swim/play in a protected area. There are showers spaced out periodically and small bath house, also a restaurant and surf shop.

This beach would be great I’m sure but the days we visited it was the colour of pea green soup or if not green dark clouds of brown water. We went in but it was like sitting in a algae filled pond and once you...More

A beautiful beach with sand as fine as I've ever seen. Off season parking is easy but in season it can be a bit more challenging. Either way, the long crescent beach is fantastic. The sand is firm for walking or biking. The tide may...More

This is one of Florida's treasures. White sand, sea shells, birds, concession stand with good food, washrooms, picnic tables, and sunsets that beg for photographers.

Went in the morning and had a nice relax and fresh air. The staff was helpful and the management was excellent for surveillance. Couple of fresh drinks were available, we enjoy our stay there

Since June 2018 through late August 2018 this and other sw florida beaches are disgusting, empty due to red tide and the illness it can inflict, and no end in sight. Stay away remainder of this year, the beaches are too foul, stink when you...More

Others have written about how relaxed this beach is, calm waves, and that they came here because Siesta Key was so crowded. The reality is that Lido Beach is very, very average in that it has a very narrow strip of sand, parking can be...More

Lido is a relaxed, beautiful beach. Calm waves and clear water. Dont expect a party atmosphere for the most part. This a great place to relax and grab some good food at nearby St Armands Circle.

As of now red tide is no more. City have done a fantastic job in clearing up the dead fish. Such a shame for the wildlife, but birds are returning which is a great sign.
