We have been to this park many times. It is good for hiking and biking, but also bird watching. He can always see alligators. The boat ride on the lake is very informative as is the little tram ride.

If you've ever wanted to get up close and personal with very large alligators, this is the place!!! We saw too many to count, plus the bird life was phenomenal. Judging by the crowd, this experience isn't for everyone.

A huge State Park with lots of activities to do. The best being Conopy Walk and a Boat Ride in Myakka Lake for Alligator sighting and also some exotic birds. For taking full advantage best is to have a stay at the park. A great...More

I think driving thru the park itself would take under 30 minutes, stopping a bit to view the gators, but if you're there and have a few, walking to the swinging bridge / canopy walk / tower would be worth it. As far as the... More
