Great place to watch the sunset!

Love this beach! It's covered with little sea shells and its a beautiful spot to go in the evening to watch the sunset! There is nothing like a sunset on Sanibel!

A beautiful beach with decent shells. A good place for swimming, walking and shelling. Very clean beach!

The beach is gorgeous yet smaller than something like Bowman. The amount of different types of shells that get deposited on this particular beach is amazing both kids and adults alike will love spending the day there. Only one suggestion is get there early to claim your spot and enjoy the day. Fishing is also done here and with incredible... More

Couldn't get near the beach. Very few parking spaces and bumper to bumper traffic. Would not go back

Best to arrive before sundown since this parking lot will fill up. Bring your fishing wear while you wait for the beautiful sunsets!

The lot is tiny here. Maybe 15-20 spots. We arrived early at the suggestion of the visitor center, but when we drove by later there were a couple of spots. We went on a cool day though, so presumably a lot of people were opting against the beach. On a hot day or during a busier season (we were there... More

Of the many beaches on the island, this is one of our favorites. Yes parking can be difficult. But the shelling is very good here. And if you cross over the bridge, it is excellent shelling on the Captiva side also.

Fished off the bridge and just had a most fabulous time, chatting with folk, we even provided a man, that has MS and motors around in his fancy wheelchair, some mahogany snapper for his lunch. The low tide beach provided LOADs of shells. What a fun spot!! Go early for easier parking and to get a good spot on the... More

We went on a weekday, thinking it would be slower, but we were wrong, parking was hard to find at the main beach, so we drove 10 miles to this beach and luckily found parking. There was construction going on, so we had to climb over huge pipes and listen to a back hoe doing work. The contractors had half... More

When we visited they were dredging which diminished the atmosphere. Shelling was not any better than other beaches. (shelling was excellent everywhere). Good place to watch the sunset, which we did on the Captiva side.
