For the past 12 years we have come to Naples Florida where one of our group has a house for us to stay in. We try to play at various courses within an hours drive to experience new challenges and scenery. Our visit to Sanibel golf course was very disappointing. Every green was brown and patchy, making putting an even... More

I've been playing this course for four years. The owners have made huge improvements in the quality of the fairways, greens and tee boxes. The fairways were noticeably greener with better grass. The greens roll true and are what I would describe as fast. This year the cart paths now drive beside most tee boxes, limiting the walk up and... More

What a GREAT course! The club has some of the most accommodating staff, spent a week here and didn't leave. The course got greener and greener throughout the week, and tremendous conditions on fairways and greens all week long. Recommend for all ages and skill level.

I have been playing this course seasonally for the past 8 years and have seen the vast improvements Drew and Ed have made since taking ownership 4 years ago. Golf Courses are not easy to maintain. Very costly in materials, labor and equipment and regardless of the number of plays daily maintenance has to occur. In Florida the months of... More

For the price that a person has to pay to golf in Florida in March as a tourist I was expecting a lot more than we got. Small club house which is no big deal. The staff was friendly. The course itself was in rough shape. Not one green was fully green grass. All of them had winter kill (I... More

Expectations were not met. Many weeds on tee boxes, not much grass on tee boxes, weeds growing on greens, greens beat up pretty bad cause your putts to go off line. The course layout is fantastic. So much potential, with in met expectations. The practice putting green was simply horrible. Very small, beat up, leaves everywhere. No driving range. The... More

Haven't been back to Sanibel Golf Club in a few years. Wow! What a difference. The new owners have obviously done a lot of work. Many trees have been cut down or trim back to allow the grass to grow. Lot of new waste areas especially around the tees which also are vastly improved. The $79 Twilight is a great... More

The new owners of this course are doing a great job of getting it 'up to par.' Challenging and fun course with tons of wildlife including green iguana and alligators. If you hit straight you'll be in good shape; if not bring extra balls cause you won't want to go hunting for them. Everything is in good shape except a... More

A shame. Great location, nice staff, good physical layout but the under spend on the facility is obvious. Many bare spots; tee box's, fairways and greens. Hole flags ripped, etc. Van Cortland in the Bronx is in better shape.

Dear Mr. Donnelly, I am sorry to hear we did not meet your expectations. From time to time, we get some first time visitors to Sanibel that expect the golf courses to be similar to their extremely high end country clubs up north. We try very hard to be the best we can be and have made significant improvements over... More
