We went to the Wildlife Center to pick up our senior annual pass and ended up walking around the exhibits, which we enjoyed. Due to the rain we didn't walk or drive around the park.

Very enjoyable stop although my teens were not so interested! Run by very friendly people who were so generous with their knowledge.

We enjoyed the visitor's center which had exhibits and a couple of activities for the kids. We also enjoyed driving through the refuge and looking for the different birds and fish we had learned about at the visitor's center.

Didn't see too much at this time of year but staff were very knowledgeable and we enjoyed the peaceful nature of the place. We look forward to visiting again when the migratory birds are back

Go early morning or late afternoon if you want to see bird life - especially in the summer months. They are doing a good jopb and the vsiitors' centre is worth seeing too.

This is the best way to see what nature has to offer in terms of natural foliage and wildlife on the west coast of Florida.

Visited in August, not the best time to see birds and animals but still an interesting drive. If the weather is not too hot I would do the tram ride or bike through

My husband and I ride our bikes through Ding Darling. We've been through during high tides and saw one bird throughout the whole ride. We find it better to go during low tides. You see more types of birds out and feeding in low level...More

Depends on how much you enjoy the outdoors. For my family a drive through the refuge with occasional stops along the roadway suffices. For us a couple of hours does the trick. If you are avid about the outdoors and getting... More
