This place has severe traffic problems!!!!!!!! Took us 45 minutes to move .6 of a mile!!!!!! So infuriating when trying to get to a dinner reservation!!!! I can’t imagine how frustrating it is to live and work here!!!!!
The main thoroughfare through Sanibel Island but it's best to come up from the south road to avoid some of the traffic.

This looked like a very nice collection of shops. There were some very nice gardens and fountains to walk through. We had lunch at the Blue Giraffe. It was very good. Reasonably priced.

Periwinkle is the main road in Sanibel. Most of the shops/restaurants are along this. One lane in each direction. Very nice bike/walking path along entire route. Can get busy during peak times. Usually traffic cops at busy intersections.
You have to drive along it - often crowded but lots of shopping and dining places - not much to say about it
