    Very nice Zoo
We liked the Zoo, the animals seemed happy, enclosures were clean and large. Staff was friendly and the boardwalks are great. We are passholders at the Brevard Zoo and got in for 1/2 price. Trying to visit all the Florida Zoo's

    Great for toddlers
Excellent spot near Orlando. Reasonable pricing, 7 of us went for the price of one ticket at one of the big parks. Offers a nice mixture of animals and a splash pad which makes it ideal for toddlers. We took our 2 year old grand son and it was perfect. He fed goats, giraffes, and chickens then enjoyed the splash pad. The park is well laid out. Allow a couple hours.

Nice day at the zoo, but improvements need for the animals
The zoo needs major updating to accommodate the animals in a better setting. They allow smoking just outside the actual zoo and to non smokers very nasty, unfortunately there were some obnoxious people that were tapping on glass or enclosures and disturbing the animals. Overall an average experience and sad for the animals

Zoo and Gardens in One Trip
The Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens is a nice place to visit for kids of all ages. The zoo is in a lovely park-like setting with the gardens all around. It is not large but nice to visit for two or three hours depending on how long one stops to observe different animals. Unfortunately, several of the animals were not in their habitats on the day we visited. Nevertheless, we liked what we did see, and especially enjoyed watching the Spider Monkeys interact with one another. The zoo also has a fun water splash area for children with changing rooms.

This was a bad day . Rude employees. Overpriced. Not worth the money or your time at all. It's about a mile from the parking lot to the zoo. You have to walk through their zip line area first for about a mile. No maps of the zoo anywhere. We just wandered around past the same few animals, lost. They seem to hate their customers. The signs in the zoo that say if you haven't been vaccination for covid you should wear a mask, OUTSIDE were not appreciated. Not a problem. We won't bother them again.

I was very excited to take my grandaughter to the zoo that my great grandmother, my grandmother, mother , me, and my daughter all went to as children, for the first time today . 6 generations of my family have supported that zoo

At the gate when we went in, their man at the gate insisted that we could not bring the refill cups we were planning to use all day for water , into the zoo. I begged him ''please, she's a baby, She needs her drink''. He could not have cared less.

I am So dehydrated . Today was one of the worst days of my life. Thirsty all day . i cant believe they had the audacity to do this to my 70 year old mother and 5 year old granddaughter , but this ends our support for Sanford Zoo. And I'm reporting them to the Better Business Bureau in the morning..

They really need to update the parking lot and trails. So much dirt and mud everywhere. Ticket prices are higher than most zoos, and food is ridiculously priced. A lot of exhibits were closed the day we visited.

What a disappointment! Maybe my expectations were too high. However I have been to free zoos with way higher quality exhibits and larger variety of animals. (shoutout to Como Zoo & Lincoln Park Zoo) There was plenty of room for more animals and Florida definitely has the climate for a wide variety of animals. The weather was cooler, but absolutely no reason not to have small indoor viewing areas for the animals who need warmer weather. Or at the least, perhaps reduce admission if 1/4 of the animals are off exhibit.

The staff/keepers were aloof and did not interact with us even when we walked right up next to them to observe animals. (No even “any questions about this animal?”) They seemed more interested in talking amongst themselves than any of their paying customers.

I wound not return or recommend this zoo to anyone. What a waste of of a round trip Uber ride from our Universal hotel, and we could have been having fun at the park!
