Always enjoy visiting this preserve with rescued birds. Aviary has an eagle, owls, hawks, vulture. Welcome center has friendly staff & very educational with 'hands on' artifacts. Walking trails are clear, easy to follow and peaceful. Love this oasis in the middle of civilization.

If you're not familiar with the area you might have a little trouble finding it. Bring mosquito repellent. Lots of alligators and other wildlife.

No dogs allowed. And wouldn't be fair to the dogs or the resident critters. There are bicycles allowed. So if you're planning some time away from your dog, you can make it a bike outing, too. Enjoy.
