We had a beautiful picnic set up for us by our son for our wedding anniversary. The park was absolutely beautiful. I was a bit concerned about the homeless man, karate chopping the air around him and he kept coming towards us. After awhile he dug through the trash can and left. But still a very beautiful park.

I have been here for food and music festivals, as well as just a pleasant stroll. This park is right next to the Museum of Fine Arts and across the street from many delicious restaurants and cafes. The combination of trees, bay view with boats, and sunshine is great any time of year. My favorite thing about it are the huge banyan trees there.

I am in total love with this park, its blue and green views, the many benches they have, and the outstanding trees they have.
You can park on the streets and pay with the park mobile app. There’s plenty of spaces so you won’t have a problem.
I liked to walk around the park, take pictures, sit down and relax.

This is a nice quiet park, north of the pier approach, and home to the Fine Art Museum, a few paved paths, some big trees and grass. While there may be nothing exciting going on here, it is a nice amenity to the city's waterfront, and a quiet and picturesque buffer between beach drive and the waterfront between the Pier and the Vinoy.

The St. Petersburg Waterfront Parks, of which North Straub Park is a part, are absolutely great! These parks comprise one of the largest contiguous waterfront park systems in North America! Abutting the highly-regarded Museum of Fine Arts and with a beautiful waterfront location, North Straub Park is fun every day of the year. Events take place on many weekends including art shows, outdoor movies, musical entertainment, marathons, drum circles, health fairs, etc. Across the street from a number of good restaurants, North Straub is a good place to relax, "hang out" with friends, watch the boats and the birds on the bay, or climb the huge Banyan or Kapok trees. Trees are lighted at night which is lovely. Enjoy the park "as is" or at one of the many year-round weekend events. You'll come back again and again!

It's a fairly small park on the Beach Drive facing the waterfront and stretching from the Museum of Fine Arts to the historical Renaissance Vinoy Hotel. The park has a couple of impressive (and spooky) Banyan trees that are a constant attraction for tourists taking photos. It also has several old sculptures of unknown authors that also remind us of history. It's a nice stroll to the Vinoy hotel, a pleasant place to have a walk, it gives you the feeling of a peaceful open area, with scenic views around.

What a great park to enjoy on a beautiful weekend morning and afternoon. The walking paths, and the waterfront area, were great for relaxing, and catching some amazing water views....we even saw some dolphins not too far off into the bay. Definitely a great "respite" from downtown activities.

This is a nice park for walking. Incredible views which are picturesque. However, they are currently doing construction in the area, so it is noisy and unpleasant.

This park is on the water next to the marina. It’s really nice for walking your dog. It’s also across the street from some great restaurants and an amazing coffee shop called Cassis..

An afternoon or evening stroll is beautiful here. Tame squirels you can feed by hand, great for dog walking and even Manatee spotting in the Bay. Adjacent fabulous restaurants, a beautiful place day and night..

The park website doesn't seem to be updated for events. The ones I saw were from 2016: may be going 10/7-10/10 with the fam. Anything fun happening that weekend? Movies in the park or more!
