My daughter's wedding was held at the Sunken Gardens on 2/18. The Gardens provided the guests with beautiful scenery and made sure that all of the details were taken care of. The staff was extremely helpful and made the day of the wedding truly stress free. The Sunken Gardens is the perfect setting for any occasion.

Good location in St. Petersburg next to various restaurants. A variety of things to see - flamingos, birds, flowers, waterfalls, fish, and greenery.

We went today with another couple and really enjoyed ourselves. They beautiful displays and demonstrations of Ikebana (Japanese Flower Arranging). The gardens are very beautiful and all of the animals and the ponds with fish were very interesting. It is quite a lovely place to sit and relax. They even had a yoga class going on as we walked through.... More

Sunken Gardens is a lovely but rather small botanical garden. The flamingos were a special treat. This is a nice place to spend about an hour in nature. I think it is somewhat overpriced at $10 per adult and $8 per senior. However, we were able to get a coupon for buy one admission and get one free in a... More

Loved walking through a beautiful rain forest with all it's beauty was an awesome experience. The grounds are impeccably taken care of. So we walked through this amazing place just being enjoying seeing all the flora and fauna. The only sounds we heard were birds. We also met beautiful parrots and flamingos. It takes about two hours to do the... More

Wonderful stroll through a tropical delight - very beautiful and relaxing. Can't speak to the value as we got in because they do reciprocal free pricing if you have your card from membership in your hometown garden society.

We visited the Sunken Gardens for the first time this past February and were invited to join a free docent led tour. Now, I usually enjoy a good tour, and free is my favorite price but the volunteer was not really knowledgeable, just enthusiastic, and a "local who had visited MANY times" dragged out every stop by sharing their own... This was a major tourist attraction back in the day. I wouldn't consider it major by today's standards, and at $8 per person is a bit overpriced. We used a buy one get one free coupon, so it was only $8 for both of us, and I didn't mind spending that. It was a fun way to spend some time... More

From the street you have no idea what Sunken Gardens is like. Upon entering you feel like you are in another place. The trees and plants are huge here. The walkways are mostly shaded so it is cooler than out on the street. The gardens are beautiful. There are signs to tell you about some of the plants. One section... More

Covers a small area but packs much in. More caged birds than I would have liked but fun to see the flamingoes. Some exquisite plants. Despite the Main Street outside it's a delightful place to sit and ponder.
