This is an open park with a walkway which is lined with various palm trees from all over Florida. It was interesting, but not what I was expecting, so I was a little bit disappointed. However, it is a nice little park, especially for walking.
There is a pathway next to the ocean which allowed us to get a few water pictures.

The only criticism I have of this park is that many of the signs are missing that identify the palms. I had no idea there were so many kinds of palm trees. It's a beautiful walk along Tampa Bay. In addition to the arboretum, there are tennis and beach volleyball courts, restrooms, benches. It's a gorgeous place to spend some time.

Free parking. Free visit. Clean, well-maintained and everything labeled with names of trees.
Nearby benches and restrooms. View of Tampa Bay and beach volleyball.
Great place to take a walk. Lots of dog walkers agree.

I think this is the largest collection of palms in the world that is free to walk thru. Brick pathway winds among the palms which are labeled.

When we are giving people driving tours of downtown St. Pete we always stop here. The parking lot between the arboretum and the community pool is rarely full and often empty. We can pull right up to the arboretum, take a nice walk through the palms and be back in the car in 20 minutes. Depending on the season there are some amazing blooms.

We are members of the International Palm Society and love Gizella Kopsick! It's a small but impressive collection that is now going to double in size. Tampa physician Dr. Young spent a lifetime traveling and collecting palm trees from around the world. Since his passing his children sold the collection to St. Pete. The expansion is underway so keep checking back to see the new additions. *Note: some of the more rare palms are planned to go into Sunken Gardens too.

A very nice small park with many varieties of palm trees. Newly paved and some areas are being refurbished. Great place to walk and relax and enjoy some peace and tranquility.

What a nice collection of trees. Take a walk by yourself or with someone special.
I've taken my children to learn more about the plants here.
Not many are walking through, which is good, so take advantage of the view near the beach and water and enjoy this little walkway out of the way.
I really liked to go through here while on a Segway tour.

This is in the midst of one of our waterfront parks in St Petersburg. It will take you 20 minutes at most to view it but if you are a fan of palm trees, then this is your place. It's a wonderful quiet space in our neighborhood. Stop by and enjoy it.

A palm tree arboretum, who knew there are so many varieties? If you like nature and do not need an interactive app to keep your attention this is a great free outdoor activity.
We found the setting to be very relaxing as we strolled along the paths between the palm trees and looking out into Tampa Bay. They have done an excellent job on identifying the various different species which really helped us in enjoying the arboretumThere are two sections with an open space between them which is provides a nice view of Tampa Bay. There are the occasional benches to sit and relax and enjoy the view.
As with most cities there can be problems, we encountered two old stoners sitting on a bench almost hidden by the trees enjoying their weed. Their presence did not bother us, but it might bother some people. They were there when we arrived and were there when we left after walking all over the place.
