It's a collection of 95/96 original paintings and the exhibition takes you through a timeline journey. Great pieces, very informative. Even if you don't like the audio guides - take one as you can choose only the paintings that interest you and hear some neat stories. My others half is not a big museum fan but he enjoyed it nevertheless.

We enjoyed this visit so much, I can't recommend it enough! What a great experience. We got there two hours before the museum closed and could have stayed another hour or so. (And that's just for the permanent collection. We were there the day after the Escher show closed, so there wasn't anything in the other gallery.) We were casual... More

This Museum is a Must see if you into Dali Art. The amount of Dali art here is amazing in that the stuff was part of a personal Collection. If you are in St Petersburg and LOVE art this is highly recommended and you come away having a much better understanding of Salvador Dali

After deciding to make a day trip to St Pete for the Dali Museum... We arrived and every staff member there had quite the smile on their face... Our tour guide was amazing although I do not remember her name she did have an Indian accent, but she was so enthusiastic and she was so passionate about the painting there.... More

What a delite to visit the Dali Museum. Such a special artist Dali was. When you visit the question is...do you see what I see???? Look past Dali's eccentricities and see what an amazing artist he was. My friends were pleasantly surprised with their visit. The museum changes there showing a few times so as to let us see the... We are not typically museum people, but visited the museum while there was also an M.C. Escher exhibit. We did the self-tour with the free audio system (type in the number and hear about the work). Our visit was enhanced by our lack of familiarity with Dali. We did not realize the depth, meaning and hidden "messages" in his work.... More

Beware of long lines. We didn't end up going into this museum simply because the line was sooo long it reminded us of Disney!

This is a new Museum. The Collection used to be housed in a different building until they designed and build this specific Museum. It has two stories. On one side it holds the permanent Dali collection, on the other side they have a temporary exhibition, both are covered with the price of your ticket. You can also go on Thursday... More

Wow! As soon as you catch a glimpse of this impressive structure you know you're going to be entering a shrine to one of the world's most brilliant and eccentric artists. The Dali Museum is beautiful, impressive and fabulously caters to families - four of us enjoyed the audio guides, with the two kids, 4 year and 8 year, enjoying... More
