On our 4th day in St. Petersburg we'd hit or limit of sun. We needed something that would be out of the sun but fun! This was the prefect place. The Sunken Gardens and the Great Exploration (GE)were in the same location. In fact you can buy a combo deal. But the visit for the gardens and the GE. Suggest... More

This place is hidden inside a building that is also the gift shop for Sunken Gardens. I never knew it was here. The employees were nice enough to give me a tour of the inside and I must say I was pretty blown away at all the things they have! If I were a kid I'd be in heaven. There... More

When it's way too hot to play outside, this is a decent alternative. The pretend grocery store and vets office are cute for young kids. The noise level is sometimes wild but it is for kids.

History, Fun and Interaction for the Children! A great place to take the kids for the day and even better with cousins or other family and friends to go as a group! Picture area and something to talk about afterwards with your Children! Worth the Visit

I have 6 grchildren and over the years this museum has been invaluable. There's so much to see and do and you don't ever have to say don't touch! They have two floors of fun and a touch tunnel the kids will love. Also if you have a Reciprocal membership you save big time on a yearly pass that allows... More

What a great place for kids and adults. When we arrived, we were told that a field trip group was there for another hour or so. It was quite loud and crowded for small children. We decided to take a detour and return later - and were so pleased that we did. The crowd was gone and so was the... More

It was our first visit and it happened to be the day when the Lowry park zoo, sunken garden and the museum were in one! There were animal shows, many activities for the kids, there was lots to learn and do!

The grandchildren ran from one activity to another (2 & 5); so much to see and do. They were thrilled with the small area for 5 and under; loved making meals in the nutrition section and playing dr. Craft area; newsroom.....Membership at Clearwater Aquarium gives a reciprocal admission to this. We will go back.

My grandkids (ages 4 & 6) love Great Explorations! They spend the weekend with us about once a month and we nearly always visit the museum. They have not tired of visiting - there's so much to do! The membership is definitely worth it for regular visits. The change of exhibits is nice and offers new opportunities, plus the interactive... More
