We go at times of the year where the beach is nearly always empty. There is no way to improve on that!

The true beauty of the Florida coast that everyone should see. Gorgeous views of the Gulf of Mexico and the bay the way Florida used to be. The peace and quiet of the park is so mesmerizing you lose all sense of time. Almost hated...More

Never have I been so thrilled to find such a place. Wildlife is abundant, and people are not. No trash, no screaming kids, no problem. I purely loved it. When my footprints are the only ones in the sand, I know I've found a treasure....More

This is our second trip. We enjoy this park because it is usually not crowded. They have several covered picnic areas with showers to wash off after swimming and restrooms. The beaches do not have life guards so would not do more the wade. We...More

We loved walking on the beach, shelling, eating out and fishing. Recommend it for families and just couples. It is not overly commercialized like other places in Florida. Love the local people. You should bring a camera, fishing gear and sun screen! If you like...More

A must see while visiting the island. We walked the beach a lot farther than we meant to just soaking it all in. We only seen 4 other people the whole time we were there. Wonderful place to just relax and unwind! Shells were everywhere!

We visited the Park and stayed in our RV. This was convenient because it's quite a drive from the mainland to the park. Because of the distances involved having a bicycle is a good idea to take advantage of all the parks assets. Also in...More

We went to the beach access across from the campground access road and walked as far to the tip of the island as we could walk since the tip of the island did have as much foot traffic.
