In the middle of a busy Thursday afternoon a FIVESOME went out in front of us. Starter said they were all “Scratch” golfers. What he didnt mention was they were putting for millions of dollars - they had to be - no other reason for them to be on the green forever. To make the situation even more irritating, they drove their 3 carts on the tee box on every hole and nearly, if not on the green on most holes. I’ve made the 60 minute drive from Viera to Royal St. Cloud many times because prior to today, I was for the most part an enjoyable round. To add insult to injury, when we dropped out after 13 holes, there was no one in the club house to talk to about the situation. I could have shot the messenger with the girl on the desk at the pro shop but she was obviously clueless of what was happening if you didnt want to book or cancel a tee time. So all that said, there are plenty of courses in the area who actually manage play and don’t just throw as many people on the course as possible. I would NOT recommend Royal St Cloud to ANYONE.

Course is in pretty good shape, it's a step above a muni. Decent layout and greens were nice with some challenging holes in the wind we had.

A Golfer's Playground:
Royal St. Cloud Golf Links is like a golf amusement park, seriously. They've got three 9-hole courses – White, Blue, and Red. Today, we tackled the Blue to Red layout, and it was a wild ride.

Blue Course:
The Blue course is all about wide fairways, wasteland bunkers, big water hazards, and smooth greens. Those greens? Super fast. Better hold on! Your putt might roll off the green.

Red Course:
The Red course is a different beast. Tight fairways, water everywhere, bunkers ready to gobble your balls, and out-of-bounds signs popping up when you least expect them. In my opinion the Longer and Harder side of the property.

Retro Vibes:
Something I've never seen on a golf course is these cool old-school phone booths (pictured above). Definitely a unique design choice!

Course Conditions:
The whole place was in great shape and worth every penny. Each hole has its flair and style, and I'm pumped to take on the White course soon!

Whether you're a pro or just getting into golf, @royalstcloudgolflinks has something for everyone. Make sure to plan your trip out that way sometime soon!

Been wanting to try this course for some time. Honestly, we were a bit disappointed. None of the 4 of us consider it to be a real "links" style course. There are very few trees, yes, but that's about as "links" style as it gets. Conditions were very good. Course is well-maintained. Greens are smooth and fairly quick. One true "pot" bunker on the first hole of the blue course. The rest were traps and bunkers you will see on any other course. No shaved areas around the greens where you might use your putter instead of a wedge. There really isn't a memorable or signature hole that I could see. They're all pretty much the same. We played 15 holes before the lightning drove us off the course. I'd play there again; but I would go out of my way.

Play it each trip and it rains at some point in our rounds. But we keep coming back. Pro Shop staff refreshing and friendly and make you feel welcome. Course in very good condition. Restaurant closing as we entered. Disappointed, but they refered us to another good location.

A nice course, but as previously mentioned it has pretty slow play. Ranger asked group ahead to speed up. But no follow-up and ended up just shy of 5 hours for no reason. Carts in rough shape. The greens were true, but very hard and lighting fast which slowed play.

The course itself is in excellent condition and a unique challenge. Slowing the greens, disciplined rangers would make all the difference in the world to make this place perfect. If you prepare for slow play, you will love the course.
