San Sebastian Winery, founded in 1996 is located at 157 King Street, St. Augustine, Florida in one of Henry Flagler’s old East Coast Railway buildings located just a few blocks from historic downtown. According to historians, this area is the birthplace of American wine, dating back to 1562. Today, San Sebastian ranks as one of Florida's premium wineries, and remains a pioneer in the development of table, sparkling and dessert wines from hybrid and muscadine grapes. Port and Cream Sherry dessert wines are produced by and sold under the San Sebastian brand. All together, San Sebastian labels have won over 1,600 awards for excellence in winemaking, with more coming in each season. Every year more than 100,000 people are expected to visit the winery’s extensive tasting room and wine shop. San Sebastian Winery has an overall production of over 80,000 cases, (that’s over 960,000 bottles!). San Sebastian wines are sold at the winery and at major supermarkets and wine shops throughout Florida and Georgia. “The Cellar Upstairs” Wine, Jazz & Blues Bar, open weekends, is located on the rooftop of the Winery building and is a best kept secret with locals. The Cellar Upstairs features incredible live music from a wide range of talented local and regional Bands. Relax to the music and enjoy the tremendous views overlooking the St. Augustine skyline while enjoying a glass of San Sebastian Wine, draft beer and light appetizers.

Wine was great! Only downfall was the tastings were very tiny, but great wine! Went to the rooftop area after. Their sangria was awesome and they definitely fill your glass. Prices weren't bad either. Had the beer pretzels and cheese which was awesome!

We stopped as we are a huge fan of San Sebastian's port. We did the tour and it wasn't much of one. After doing the tour at the distillery this one was really lacking. It was a walk through with simply sampling stops with an employee standing there waiting for you. The stops were uninspired and we were only told... More

The winery is great! It's nice to have a quality Florida wine made in St. Augustine. The tour allows you to try many of the selections for free and then at the end you have the ability to buy bottles at descent prices. The more you buy, the better specials you can get. The tour was informative as well. I... More

We thoroughly enjoyed this facility, and had the opportunity to taste several different wines. We went on Mother's Day, so we didn't actually get to learn the process used for making the products. Didn't deter us from taking home a couple of bottles of their wine!!

This was the highlight of our day while visiting! The tour was free and fun (minus the video), and our tour guide, Zane, was incredible. We enjoyed ourselves and just enjoyed the wine which is reasonably priced. Even the non-wine lovers enjoyed themselves. Be sure to visit the jazz bar on the top floor as well.

The San Sebastian Winery was somewhat of a disappointment. The tour guide was inexperienced and the actual winery tour disorganized and too brief. They have a 10 minute video presentation that provide some information on the winery but the volume was too low and constantly interrupted by people coming in and out during the presentation. But the group tastings afterward... More

My mother and I went to this winery and we enjoyed it. It was a self walk-through with a tasting of several of their different wines. There was really not much to it, but it was free (except for the very last stop) so there isn't much to complain about.

Hopped off the trolley to take this free tour and wine tasting. Enjoyed the information regarding the wine and then the tasting. No hard sell on the purchasing the wine but good idea to if you find one you like, better value for money.

We learned quite a bit about the winery and process. Our tour guide was fun and engaging. The wine tasting had a great variety and something for everyone.
