My favorite place in St. Augustine. Daily peaceful walks to ponder the beauty and gift of this mission where the first Catholic Mass was ever said in the US. Lovely small chapel of Our Lady of La Leche was simple but beautiful. Very interesting to explore. Many people were exercisng quietly in the mornings. Very peaceful....

I am a local to the area and visited frequently to pray that we would be blessed with a child. Our prayers were answered and we were blessed with our son. This will Always be a very special place to our family.

Damage from the hurricane in 2016 has closed the island where the chapel is located and the cross. I believe they said it would be open within the year (can't remember when) The museum is still open and worth your time to visit.

You cannot help feel the spirit of God when you visit this chapel. The surrounding gardens are also a place to find peace. What a wonderful place to find peace and time to reflect in this fast paced world.

Beautiful and georgous shrine, where First Mass has been celebrated in America. A very nice and quiet place with a lot of grounds to walk around.

The recent hurricane damaged a bit of the site, but it is still worth a trip to see the museum. The docents are very helpful and informative. Hopefully the shrine will be opened up again soon!

A very nice mission, Quiet, serene, lots of grounds and areas to walk around and see the history. Some of the grounds look like they were under repair, but it still looked nice.
