The St. Augustine Wild Reserve offers tours on an appointment-only basis. We are not open on a daily basis like a large zoo, although we do offer two-hour tours, reserved in advance. Tours are held in the afternoon, usually on Saturdays, Mondays and Wednesdays at 2pm. Email as far in advance as possible to make reservations. Children under 5 are free. We may be able to schedule a tour on a different day, if we know far enough in advance. Guests will be given a guided tour of the 7-acre animal compound by an experienced wildlife professional. An introduction to each species, basic biology, and how the species arrived at our sanctuary will be discussed in detail. Visitors will be allowed a close-up view of the exotic animals. Guests will be able to venture closer to adult African lions than they ever imagined. Also on the tour will be our amazing white tigers, several orange tigers, a very rare golden tabby tiger, cougars, servals, lynxes, leopards, hyenas, coati mundis, and a host of wolves ranging in color from black to white. We also have a large bird collection, which includes conures, macaws, Amazon parrots, lovebirds, and even parakeets, cockatoos, cockatiels, doves, quail and finches. We feed all of the big cats on the tour on most days, and set up a tiger bubblebath for one pair of tigers. We do not allow photography at this compound, however, we do offer a fabulous photo CD at the end of the tour for a small donation. You may photograph our beautiful peacocks, lovebirds and conures, which are outside of the compound near the guest waiting area. Thank you!

You must visit the St. Augustine Wild Reserve! These animals are amazing and well cared for. On our first visit to the reserve, our tour had to end part way due to pouring rain, thunder, and lightning. We were able to come back on another...More

Ms. Warrick and her staff have a wonderful facility taking obvious great care for great cats (and others) that have often come from very sad circumstances. The tour is two hours packed with meeting more cats than I can now remember a week later. Animal...More

My wife and I visited on 7/15. We were awestruck at the animals and how much they are loved and cared for at the reserve. Florida is hot in July, and the day of our tour was no exception. The staff was great, even gave...More

This place is crazy. If you want to stand 5 feet away from a tiger, lion, or liger while they eat raw meat...this is the only place I know of that can make that happen. It's basically a walking tour which takes you from cage...More

These are animals that were from abusive or illegal businesses and homes. Yes, you read correctly, homes. At least one lion or tiger was purchased as a pet and lived in a garage until neighbors notified Florida Wildlife. They are well cared for by the...More

Definitely a once in a lifetime experience that I would do again. Probably one of the coolest places where you can have close interactions with animals you would never see anywhere else. If you're ever in florida I highly recommend. .

For animal lovers there is no better place to experience wild animals (lions, tigers, and bears oh my!) up close and personal. These are magnificent creatures that I one wanted and this sanctuary gave them a home. These beautiful creatures are a must see. The...More

This is one of the best wild animal reserve places I have been able to visit. The animals are well cared for and love their caretakers. I really enjoyed watching the tigers play in their water tubs and "stalk & splash" the workers. Deborah and...More
