This is a sanctuary, not a zoo. The animals are lovingly tended by dedicated volunteers who give an educational, enjoyable tour while they interact with their charges. I am so glad I took the tour. I will be back.

I went in skeptical that it couldn't stand up to the hype of being #1 on TripAdvisor for St Augustine. It only took about 5 minutes into the tour for me realize why it was so highly rated. Every animal in this reserve receives so...More

While the tour was miserably hot, the tour guide was very entertaining, the staff was so amazingly friendly and helpful. This is basically a rescue, as the animals come from a variety of places that they shouldn't' have been, such as confiscated pets, zoos, etc....More

These lucky exotic animals were taken in and loved after being homeless for several different reasons. The tour guide was phenomenal with a lot of specie knowledge and each had their own unique story of how they got here. I thoroughly enjoyed this experience!!

This is such an amazing tour to take! Where else can you stand five feet away from tigers, lions, ligers, wolves and other wild animals? The entire place is ran by volunteers who you can tell truly love these animals. The tour was fantastic. They...More

I do not work there, but from what I understood the volunteers are here every day to every other day. I know they need donations like bubble bath, wash cloths, and many other items listed on their website.
