This place was so full of history. Amazing!! We toured at our own pace. Each room/area had really thorough and informative placards.

The fort is a great display of old Spanish conquest. Right in the heart of st Augustine with active gun and canon fire at certain hours of the day.

No recollection of visiting over 50 years ago except post card. Wife and I went and explored the entire fort. Well maintained with good self tour info, good interpretations abound. nPS does a great job here as usual. Videos, lectures, demonstrations going on. Wonderful history, views. Cannot be missed on a trip to St Augustine! But go early in the... More

It was iterating but we were in and out within the hour for $10/pp. If your not into history or taking pics, it isn't worth the visit. That said, the views from the top were wonderful. Just go early because it is sweltering and surprisingly hot inside the fort as well.

Take your time to see all the exhibits. You will learn some things you probably didn't get in history class. The view from the fort is refreshing. The only negative at all is the terrible parking problem outside. Drove around at least 7 times before giving up to park at a distant location.

Lots of historical detail to see as well as beautiful vistas of the surrounding areas from the top of the castle.

Well worth the admission to see and imagine the history that unfolded behind these walls. Plenty of benches outside the park for gazing out into the water. The castle is well maintained, the guides professional in their garb and demeanor. An all around great experience.

First came here when I was 4. It was nice to walk around this amazing Fort. From the games the military would play to make time pass by to all the old cannons that were used. Learned a lot and took plenty of pictures to remind me of our history. It is a must to see.
