NPS is working hard to preserve this great piece of history. Lots of re-painting iron bars and restoring some stone work.

A pretty big place with a lot of history. Definitely worth going to see but on the weekends, parking can be hard to find.

It’s elevated above and right on the bay, so it’s definitely windy, but the interior of the fort is blocked by the walls, and there are many little rooms to visit with interesting artifacts.
