Exhibits were interesting as was the butterfly garden. Not much of a hiking trail and the exhibits were only open to school group that was visiting.

This was a little gem of a place, and even my wife (who tolerates me dragging her around to places I find interesting) liked it. Primarily a nature preserve, with easy trails showing what Florida likely resembled before Eurpoeans, two good buildings with paleontological artifacts...More

We stopped by after learning about all the fossels that were found in this area and are being shown in the small museum. The learning center has a few trails for hiking and learning about all the plants etc that are native to the area....More

This is a nature education center with classrooms displays hiking canoeing and kayaking and a fossil museum they also have quite a few trails to learn about nature on the west coast of Florida wonderful volunteers highly recommend checking it out

buildings have several displays of fossils and bones of ancient Florida animals. occasionally they have a fair where you can learn ancient Indian fishing techniques, etc. kayaking available on the river.
