They have a great story to tell about their purpose and it's nice to see these animals well cared for. They have a really nice selection of various species and you can see them well. Easy to walk around.

We took our granddaughters today to Octagon. We accidentally drove past it (couldn’t see any sign off hwy 31) and went all the way to Arcadia. Turned around and used GPS to find it. Anyway, volunteers helped us understand the animals that we were looking...More

We had a great time today at Octagon. The animals were so well kept and all looked in great shape. We really liked the many tigers and lions. The bears were fun especially when they were playing in the water. A great place for kids.

Octagon is a nursing facility for animals that are unable to be returned to the wild. Some came from zoos and circuses while others were pets whose owners were unable to care for them. The sanctuary requests a donation of $5 for seniors and the...More

This is a very nice morning trip from the Ft. Myers area. 45 volunteers care for a variety of rescued big game animals including 14 tigers. It is a wonderful place doing wonderful work.

I went to visit Octagon, and it seems like the animals are very cared for. Had a very nice visit there. This would make for a nice Family visit, or to bring out of town guests.

It was entertaining, but also educational. Each animal has its story posted in front of the cage. The stories are varied and not necessarily something you'd think about in your everday life. The place operates through donations and volunteers and is pretty amazing. Would certainly...More

Found this on trip advisor and glad we went. This sanctuary takes in neglected animals and gives them a safe home. We saw lots of lions, tigers, bears and monkeys. Each had a plaque which told their story. Some came from zoos and circuses and...More

The website - on the Home Page - has to the top right of the screen "No Pets Please." I'd imagine they would not allow them, even zippered in. Even though the sanctuary animals are in enclosures, you are close enough to... More
