We just got back from our trip to Cape San Blas and wish we were still there! The water was crystal clear, the beach only had a few people, not crowded at all, and most importantly..it is dog friendly. We won't travel if we can't...More

The park overall is beautiful. the fishing an recreation areas are pristine and not too crowded. The beach is unlike any other with huge sand dunes and tons of great sea shells. Wonderful for families or just a solo trip.

Definitely a place to visit. The strength of the Gulf of Mexico is truly forgotten until you see this. Kids are running around but they are likely locals that know how to swim quite well as the Gulf is not easy to navigate for a...More

Drove out on the Cape to the state park. The vegetation in the campground was thick. You'd think you were in the jungle. The beach at any point on the cape is a short walk and the sunsets are just gorgeous! Also has many beautiful...More

So we have enjoyed this area for 8 years and keep returning. Love everything about the area and its remoteness. Beautiful beaches. Why would local government allow so many vehicles on the beach? Do they want to be the next Daytona? I was told by...More

I'm answering all questions the same. Don't come down if you want to spend beach time. There is no beach. Tropical Storm Cindy finished wiping out an already badly eroded beach. Up and down the gulf coast side of the cape... More

We are thinking of going back to Cape San Blas in October. We were there last year in mid September and we experienced the "biting flies". Does anyone know if these pesty insects are still hanging around in October? Thanks.

Not sure. The yellow flies are here now and are a huge nuisance, not to mention painful! They will be here for a couple months. There are frequently some biting flies on the beaches at sunset and sunrise, but not usually a... More

Hi! we are going to be first-timers at Cape San Blas the last week in June. Are there any good boiled/seasoned shrimp places nearby that you can order/eat by the pound? Or good fresh seafood markets?

If it's still not to late cancel your stay. The beach has totally eroded. Up and down the gulf coast here the high tide comes up to the dune and you have a 4' cliff of sand with no beach. I've tried to post a pic but they... More
