The mini-golf course is a dump with biting bugs........
1.0 of 5 bubblesJul 2021
We will no longer spend our money here. We have played mini golf here on about 8 out of our last 10 Daytona are vacations. The price was always right.....about $4 dollars per person. The rates this year were $9. The course has gotten in really bad shape again. They had actually done a tad of work about 3 years ago. They had at least made sure that the carpet on the surfaces were intact. Several of the holes have gotten really bad again. They do not circulate the water (there is a bunch of it) so the bugs, no-see ems and of fleas have gotten more out of control than ever. Even spraying (which always do) did not help a few of our party. Then they got to suffer with the bites and itching for several days. It used to almost be a badge of courage to traverse the run down course. Again, we will not be going back. Someone is going lean on a structure or rail on the course and really get hurt. DHEC or some agency should shut them down. Also, be aware the pictures on their website do not reflect the condition of the course. It shows well maintained greens. That is not the case at all. When our kids were younger they thought of the place as a real adventure. We had 2 of them with us on this trip. They are now 18 and 21 and they just thought that it was now a sad situation. DO NOT ENCOURAGE GO-KART CITY ANYMORE. With the extra bucks that they are making on the mini-golf, they should fix it up or quit taking people's money.

This place is not fancy, not all karts run - but the ones that work are well worth the $5-7/ride you will pay. The batting cages have many bats and baseball/softball speed options. Recommend Cage #3 over #4, as #4 sticks a little.

We didn't try the mini-golf

Yes they are bugs in the evening. I'm not sure about earlier in the day. Yes it needs a little sprucing up. However, 7 dollars for a round of golf compared to 13 at the fancier places makes it OK. The bugs were only getting us on the first few holes.....I'm not sure why. We enjoyed go-carts. It was my youngest child's first time every driving alone and they were patient with him. I would come here again for the price.

Go-karts, putt putt golf and limited game options. The small game room had little to no A/C and was very hot. The go-karts were fun, but everything on the property is in need of a lot of maintenance.

We were looking for a place to play Putt - Putt Golf and this fit the bill, perfectly. It is not the fanciest. But the cost and, moreso the value, was perfect. $23 for the five of us. Compared to over $50 on the strip along the beach.

Our family had a really good time. We did not have any interest in the Go-Karts, game room, etc. So this review has nothing to do with those aspects. We paid our money, played our golf and moved on.

The kids are already talking about when we return next year. Great value for our family.

Horrible place. Not family friendly what so ever. Read this whole review to get an understanding of how horrible to place is and go somewhere else! So, I went to Go Kart City last night and before I went, I noticed some pretty bad reviewed. Despite the pretty bad reviews however, I went. When I arrived at Go Kart City, it was not kept up. It was really rundown and tacky. The Go Karts were horrible! While there, a Go Kart broke down and much of them were incredibly slow. The staff was also very rude, particularly the so called "owner." There was a little who was my friends son who wanted to ride with me. He was able to ride by himself but he wanted to ride with me because he thought it would be fun. The owner had only one double go kart running and there were multiple people in the double go kart line. At first he was going to let me, but then when he noticed that there were more people in the same line I was, he said, and I quote, "There is no point in starting the other karts up." It seemed that he was too lazy to start them up. He said that since the kid that was with me tall enough to ride (He was barely tall enough) that there was no point in starting up the other go karts. We got into an argument and threatened to kick me out because he was the "owner." I highly suggest that no one goes there! There are other go kart places in the area. Spend a few more dollars and go somewhere where you and your family are going have fun. Once again, not friendly at all. There are a few comments on this site where people have complained about this person. Don't go to this rundown piece of crap place! It will be a horrible experience.

We were on vacation from Canada and the kids wanted to play golf. Well, when the kids realized that they were able to go on the go karts, they had the time of their lives. Melvin the manager was so nice and friendly. He explained the rules for go karts and put safety first. When the kids went off Melvin gave us great tips were to have lunch such as La Fiesta, Hog Heaven and The Backyard Boys. We actually went to 2 of three. This manager was kind to all his guesst and regular customers . We came back 4 Times just for the go karting. Just to let everyone know this place offers battig cages, mini golf, arcades and of course the go karts. Buy the $20 green bracelet is your best buy. Melvin and staff are awesome, caring people and making sure you have a great time. We did, see you soon. It is cold and snowy here, we need Sun and Palm trees.

We were vacationing in Daytona and saw a flyer for this place and decided to try it out. The flyer said its the best go kart track in the area...What a joke! This place looks abandoned when you pull in. I thought they were out of business. We went in and the lady at the desk was not friendly at ALL. My family did have a good time the first trip around the track. However, the 2nd time there were 2 grown men running kids off the track and bumping them all over the place. It was horrible. No one ever said anything to them. The arcade is a JOKE! They have like 4 machines and most of those didn't even work. Save your time and money and go somewhere else!

Sure the prices are good, but all of their games and equipment are very old and hardly work! The guy in charge who lied and said he was a manager was completely uncooperative and insulting. The other staff were friendly and helpful, while this guy refused to give me any help, his name, or a number where I could speak with the real person in charge. This place is falling apart, especially the go-karts and batting cages. Do yourself a favor, spend the extra few bucks so you can have fun and get what you pay for with honesty and good service!!!!

We come here for the mini-golf. It is a great bargain compared to the beach strip places with more bells and whistles. For 5, it was $24. It is 2 1/2 times that on the beach.

Bring bug spray if playing at dusk or night. There are still a few holes that need their carpeting repaired. Most were in pretty good shape. The lighting was much better than last year.

We understand how some do not care for the place. It looks very dumpy. But for our vacation mini-golf Jones it is perfect. The best part was that there was no waiting on the course. We had it to ourselves.

Staff is Not friendly. Would not ever return. Not worth the money. We come to vacation for our children and this place is for money not for the customers. Will go to the one in Daytona.
