The trail is so large it is hard to describe the entire distance. It is great for walking, running or riding your bicycle. If you are walking, keep an eye out for the bicyclists. Some do go pretty fast. The trail is pretty safe and has overpasses across some of roads. There are places where you do have to cross... More

Pinellas Trail runs the length of Pinellas County with other connecting trails. You can pick up a rail guide map (at any county office & some bike shops) that list parks, restaurants, places of interest, etc. on & nearby the trail. Strictly for recreation, NO MOTORIZED VEHICLES. The trail is a treasured jewel for active people.

The 45 mile Pinellas trail is wonderful for a good bike ride. I spent two days on it covering it from the beginning at Demens Landing in St. Petersburg to Honeymoon Island located above Dunedin. The trail is gloriously flat except for ten over passes which are doable if you pace yourself. If you try to skip the over passes,... More

Clean public restroom just off the trail, north of Main Street, where there are abundant restaurants. Shade!

I have used the Pinellas Trail since moving to Florida in 2009. It is fascinating and allows you to walk or ride your bike and stop at various establishments along the way. Love it. It goes on forever - just like Florida!

Mostly I walk and run on the beaches. However the Pinellas trail is amazing for biking, running, rollerblading. i have done all of those on the trail and highly recommend it.

Nice trail to go bike riding, walking and/or jogging. Nice for the whole family and kids. Watch for gators though lol.

This trail makes it possible to ride your bike from downtown St. Petersburg all the way to Tarpon Springs! It is a beautiful 12' wide paved trail that is really park space. It does cross a couple of busy roads so be careful!

I enjoy the peacefulness and serenity of the trail, even though the steep overpasses can be momentarily painful. I enjoy the trail solo, with family and also with friends. Great place to skate, cycle, run, jog and walk.

What a great thing for us to have here. I've only hit a few sections and just love it. People, walkers, runners, bikes, dogs, old, young and 99% friendly. Shady when we leave early and lately while it has been super hot, if we get there at 8:00 a.m. and walk 4 miles it is great. Highly recommended free activity... More
