Have visited a couple of times to recognize and acknowledge our departed military personnel. If you are a veteran family this is a great burial location for your loved one. If you are a history buff, the headstones and history of this place will impress you.

Very well maintained cemetery and an honor to all those servicemen and women resting there. I am a veteran and if it were not for the fact I will be cremated and buried at sea, I would be proud to be laid to rest there.

I have been to several funerals here. The setting is very attractive and respectful. The sites for cremains are well done and the area for an outdoor funeral there is well done. Funerals here are handled with a great deal of respect. If you go to see a grave you will be awed by the area.

Station keeps this area well groomed. So interesting walking through such brave people and know they are being taken care of so well.

I love all military cemeteries. This one is beautiful and very well kept up. My grandchildren and my children were all impressed. It is good to remember and respect those that have served our country.

I went to Barrancas National Cemetery for my research of USCT (United States Colored Troops) burials. I was able to visit, but be advise there are extra steps you have to take in order to visit the cemetery and there is some work being done in the older section. First like all the other national cemeteries, the grounds are very... More

Standing and walking through the beautifully landscaped and cared for National Cemetery one knows instantly from the feeling of Peace and Quiet that they are on Hallowed Ground and are surrounded by Heroes of the Armed Services of this United States of America and their family members. This is a place to reflect upon Those Who Gave All in support... More

Only open during daylight hours, a solemn burial ground that has thousands of US Veterans, and family members authorized to be interned on site.

Unless you have an active DOD ID or have an escort, you can no longer get to the cemetery. Base security issues.
