We chose this beach based on the comments of other traveler's. It was very relaxing and enjoyable. Several species of birds and crabs along the shorelines. We visited three days and never felt like it was crowded. There is a paved road that when open...More

Went to the beach at about 8:30am. Very few people and it was so peaceful. Parking is right at the beach and a short walk to the water. Water was clear and sand white and soft. We watched Dolphins play in the water about 50...More

A beautiful spot for sunning, swimming and sand play. There are picnic pavilions, restrooms, showers, and water fountains. A large parking lot is adjacent to the pavilions. Further down the peninsula are boardwalks across the dunes to enjoy more of the pristine beach. Many like...More

I have enjoyed going to Johnson Beach since I was a kid. A more secluded beach but still with our beautiful white beaches.

I cannot give a complete review, I guess because we refused to pay the $15 parking fee to get on the real beach. Instead we did the public access and were limited to a very small portion of the beach which was cordoned off by...More

The beach itself is beautiful, but the park needs lots of work. It's busier during the summer months, but for some reason only the restrooms on the west side are open. The water fountain outside of that building is gone and the one on the...More

Johnson's 7-mile long beach is BOTH 3-miles of "FAMILY" beach and 4 miles of "NUDE" beach if desired, including the sand-dunes between the Gulf side beach and the intercostal side beach. It is all a Federal park, so... More
