This trip we had one evening that was so nice at the beach, beautiful white sand, low tide and warm waters. The next day there had been storms in the area, stronger tides and a lot of seaweed. We just moved up to Pensacola Beach...More

The island authority in its incompetence made the mistake of dedicating parts of the beach to becoming a dog park but failed to enforce the rules. This mistake has created a section of the beach ( across from 400-500 residences) That is unusable and dangerous...More

Once you get to the Island you will not want to leave. The main beaches are beautiful, the reastaurants are great, the people are nice, and the tourist activities are plentiful.

They continue to pack more development into the main beach area but a very short drive will take you to wide open sugar sands. Go a few miles from the "tourist" are and the Gulf Islands National seashore beckons.

This is a wonderfully relaxing beach with pristine white sand. There are so many activities for all age ranges. The quiet water beach by Alvin's island is excellent for small children to enjoy the beach setting without the wind and crashing waves.

Moved here two years ago for the white sand, blue waters, and incredible views. Pensacola Beach is yet to be discovered (another reason to love it), but it is only a matter of time.

Spent the week here and had a wonderful time. We rented a house and did all of our own cooking, all within walking distance to the beach. Lazy Day Beach Rentals provided us with chairs and umbrellas and the local Winn Dixie down the street...More

There are plenty of hotels at each end of the Island. There are a few at Navarre Beach, including one new one, Springhill Suites. There are quite a few hotel options on the other end of the Island at Pensacola Beach.
