We’ve visited several escape rooms before and this has by far been the worst. The staff was extremely inattentive from the booking process all the way until the room. We waited over 10 min for help every time we asked. This was likely because the attendants were on their phones while we were in the room. The design of room was also bad in that the clues didn’t lead to each other and didn’t make sense. The only saving grace was that we got to go to throw axes after.

My family and I have done multiple escape rooms together over the years and I can honestly say this is the worst one we have ever been too. We did the Serial Killer escape room. The staff that greeted us when we arrived were on their phones and rude. We tried to ask for clues a couple of times by yelling and waving our arms for several minutes but were ignored by staff. Multiple objects in the room were broken, including things needed to solve the puzzles. A few times we solved the puzzles and did not know it because they did not react like they were supposed to. The clues did not flow together and the room did not tell a story like other rooms we’ve been to. It was all very random. The finale was supposed to have a person but it was so broken that the head had fallen off and all that was left on top was a metal frame with some stuffing on it. The entire room felt very cheap and stupid, not scary at all. Definitely not worth $231 for 6 of us. Would never return here again.

This was by far the worst escape room I have ever been in. Was not set up properly. Much of the rooms items were broken. Scale needed for puzzle had dead batteries. Unsolvable due to complete lack of any maintenance for years. They somewhat watch you and try to activate stuff as you go. It was awful! And for the low low price of $178 for 5 people. Do not go here, and do not leave them a 5 star review for a free shirt (which is something they actually offer) lol.

Never did an escape room and picked the Omen-the most challenging one. Had to use all the clues but it was a blast. Would recommend on a rainy day stay at PCB pier park area. Looking forward to try different ones now.

The Royal Escape Room was one of the most fun experiences I have had in awhile. They created an exhilarating yet safe experience in the escape room. We did it for my best friend’s 18th birthday and had the best time!

So my young son and I wanted to take my wife to an escape room for her birthday. We have done quite a few and even did The Mermaids Escape not too long ago at this location, which was not a great experience but we wanted to give it another shot thinking it was a one off situation. It was not. First I booked the room online and when we arrived early we were not greeted at all I had to pry attention out of the "host" working the front. Second, when I did the check in she stated they had double booked the room, which in the current Covid situation I am not certain is legal. FYI staff refused to wear masks etc. Ok I try to brush it off. As we don't want to do a room with unknown people I ask to move our reservation or an alternate room etc. She was almost condescending in her response that wouldn't be possible. Having spent so much money with no chance of getting if back we were forced to proceed with doing the room when the other group arrived. What we were met with was very intoxicated young group that decided to not worry that I had two young kids with me and just curse up a storm (and as a former sailor even I thought it was too much). They also kept using sexual innuendos which I multiple times had to address. Ok so we are in a room that is too small with too many people and they are just drunk and rude. Bad enough? Nope. The "host" working there obviously didn't give two cares and didn't even reset the room halfway, so most of the locks and puzzles were already done so we kept working puzzles that were already solved and we didn't know. Keys were in rooms that were needed in other rooms because they weren't reset. Locks were in a different location so didn't work with the clues, half the props are busted. Just a joke overall and EASILY the most unprofessional showing of a escape room I have even seen. This place feels like a carnival side show that only wants your money and obviously doesn't care. My money was wasted, my wife's birthday was ruined, and the staff didn't even have the customer service skills to fake an apology. Just a joke. Stay away and go visit other rooms in the area there are more and I can attest they are way more professional and actually seem to care about showing a good time.

First escape room we have been to and it was fun and challenging. We had 2 couples and 4 kids and we were busy the whole time having fun trying to solve the puzzle to get out of the room. Definitely recommend

We were offseason, so it was easy to book a room, but imagine it would be busy during summer, so call ahead and lock in your time. We had 4 people in our party and escaped! Did the Zombie Escape and it was very fun, took a little math and loved the theme. Well decorated theme. The room was good for 4 people with everyone being experienced players. We broke into 2 teams and worked several locks at the same time. The room could easily work well for 6 people, with less experience. Highly recommend trying, as it was a nice way to spend an hour and fun for a group on vacation.

The room was set up well however, there were glitches. For instance, the type writer doesn’t work. We solved that puzzle early on yet it didn’t work so we kept trying other things and wasting time. We asked for a clue and had to wave our hands repeatedly. Several minutes would go by before we received a clue. Then the “clues” were just answers. No clues on how to get them ourselves. Also numbers were rubbed half-off so it wasn’t clear what is said. Wouldn’t return. There are wayyy better games out there with more attentive game masters. Save your money.

This was my first escape room and will be my last. The booking was easy and went fine. We showed up on time and our room was ready no problem. We did this as a family of 4 @$35/person. A complete waste of $140. We found a few clues and nothing happened, we had to wait till a certain amount of time went by before the clues actually worked or did anything. Obviously you can’t go to fast or the clues will mean nothing. We did everything needed to escape but still failed because the host type the wrong word in for numbers, they typed(rubbers) and said sorry at the end after they opened the door when the 1 hour timer went off. We did everything we needed to and actually stood there looking dumbfounded for over ten minutes and watched the timer count down. Not to mention how cheesy and dingy the theme or locks were. Royal Escape Rooms, have ruined my experience for ever wanting to go to another escape room!!!! Spend your money elsewhere, you’ll be thankful you did!!
