Linear Park is a wonderful place to come and relax or go for a nice long walk. There are several trails including the St. Joe Walkway which connects to the Waterfront Park, that take you into old cabbage palms and hardwood hammocks. Some of their amenities include a playground, picnic pavilions, hiking and biking trails, shuffleboard, bocce ball and bird watching. The park has been designated as a Great Florida Birding Trail by the Audubon Society for its vast diversity of bird species.

Fantastic trail which is totally paved and connects to several other trails that go to other parks or preserves, such as the Graham swamp. The trail is right next to the water. There are plenty of places to have picnics.

We made the walk to one end of the trail by the marina and back. It was pleasant, busy, because there was a boat parade about to happen. Nice area, I would totally take this path again and bike too.

I just did this one this week. Interesting how you walk through the forrest between the two sides of the road, but not well marked when there are choices or trails.
