We did this walk a couple times while we were in the area. The parking lot men are weird - don't know what's up but I noticed single people coming in for exercise walks going right past them so must be the norm.

The trails are easy to walk, lots of nature along the way. Enjoyed the wild life and sitting at the small lake watching all the birds and turtles. It's a peaceful area until a large family come running through with overwhelming excitement. But then, just like that they're gone and you're one with nature again.

We saw the Green Lynx Spider here (thankfully we saw it) when we walked down the side trails. The web was large - so was the spider!

We saw the turtles in the water, but also ran across this guy and a few buddies. Lot's of bird activity. It was a little cooler in the woods during the hot day, so nice for an afternoon walk.

Came to this well-kept park. Doing some Geocaching. If you don’t know what that is this may be a good place to start. Had no trouble around the park, beautiful scenery. Glad I came.

This is a lesser known natural area not far from the Gardens Mall. Located on Prosperity Farms Rd, north of PGA Blvd, it has parking for about 15 vehicles. Manatees can be sighted from the dock/gazebo. Natural Florida at its best.

Went walking here for the first time and it was excellent. A mix of concrete in the woods trails and more traditional pine straw on sand. There is a mix of shorter and longer trails so you should be able to find any length you're looking for. There is a lot of growth and shade on the trails and some of them can feel more isolating. My walking partner mentioned she would be less likely to walk alone on these isolated trails. I respect her opinion so I wanted to share that aspect; I will add I had no reason to feel concerned any different than any other trail.

It's nice to get away from the street grids and condos and wander through a wild landscape in a quiet area. That said, the paths and boardwalk are a bit rundown, and not a ton of effort has been put into guiding a visitor through the flora and fauna (although there are pamphlets at the entrance). I didn't find myself wanting to spend hours and hours here. One casual stroll was enough. Oh, by the way, the best thing I saw was an amazing soft shelled turtle.

This is a 158 acre hammock, what Florida looked like before development. Nice urban oasis to get away from the glitz and sprawl of the Palm Beaches. There is a paved interpretative walking path, and multiple unpaved walking paths, ranging from 0.6 to 1.6 miles. Will be appreciated by nature lovers, maybe not so much by kids. Might be good for bird/animal spotting early in the day or late in the afternoon, but not at mid-day. Even in the shade it can get hot; bring water.

We live nearby. This is a very well kept hiking trail, easy and relatively short. The environment is pleasant and interesting even for the area native. So if you are close, definitely try it for an outdoor activity.

We live in the area and always pass by and finally we decided to check it out! Super glad we did, it was really nice to see what I didn't even know was there!!! There are multiple trails and the kids loved it. It is safe and no fear of anything dangerous, it is more for just a nice walk or exercise. Some trails are super long but are worth it.

I visited Frenchman's Forest Natural Area for the first time last Saturday morning with the Audubon Society of the Everglades. It is a good area for hiking and bird watching as many migrating warblers can be found on the trees along the trail and in the parking lot. If you look up through the trail, you may also see a hawk flying over the trail or on one of the snags surrounding the forest. There are no bathrooms, and it is hiking through a forest so you need to be prepared with hiking boots or old sneakers. I visited after a rainy week and my sneakers got ruined. Don't make the same mistake. You are better off with waterproof hiking boots.
